Heard that we won't even play the game and just forfeit. That way the players stay hungry and don't get the associated downturn in morale that really losing would have caused. That way we can concentrate on drawing every game in the league because drawing is the same as winning but keeps the players hungry.

Sorry, but if that's supposed to be amusing, it doesn't work for me.

No matter what our League/Manager woes may be, we're playing a L1 team for a place in a Wembley semifinal, and then a chance of a Cup Final and even Europe. If you can't get enthusiastic about that, should you really be here?

Car Parking

There is a good sized car park located at the ground behind the away stand, which costs £4. The entrance to this car park is off Bescot Crescent next to the Park Inn Hotel and is signposted as 'Blue Zone'. The car park which is for the use of visiting supporters only (there are two other car parks available at the ground for home fans), normally lends itself to a quick getaway after the match. More or less opposite the away end is*Bescot Railway Station, which also offers pay and display car parking for £2. Alternatively, there is some street parking to be had off Wallowes Lane. There is also the option of renting a private driveway near the Banks's*Stadium via*YourParkingSpace.co.uk.

Cheers. Ended up booking a driveway close to stadium using https://www.justpark.com (nothing close by on yourparkingspace.co.uk).

Who says I'm not enthusiastic?

Why the holier than thou attitude?

It was a joke, you didn't like it, so what, not my fault.

And I'm probably the amongst the least holy on here.

Cheers for the link. Looks like it's mainly roads to the north and east that are closed up to / beyond kick off time, so we should be ok driving up from the south

Guess that rules out the car park north of the stadium on Stadium Way.

It will definitely reach general sale I reckon.

4,600 tickets? No easy route up there. Even at £20 a ticket and if the club put on free coach travel (wouldn't be surprised if they did that) then it'll still make general sale. Just hope that doesn't damage the atmosphere to be honest since our larger allocation atmospheres are normally f*cking woeful, and i'd guess a fair few will travel with their eye on getting a ticket if we get to a semi final at Wembley.

I've got an away match that day and will be freezing my extremities off being substitute on some god-forsaken cold council pitch touchline. Won't even be able to watch it in the warmth of some pub. I'll let you know afterwards if that is a good or a bad thing..

Highly likely that Spurs will go on to win this tie of course, but that was as entertaining as it gets in the first half. Well played Rochdale. Pochettino not a happy bunny :)

Pochettino's got a serious issue with the cups. His lack of motivation to go and win them clearly bleeds through to the team, which is incredible when a trophy win could help them keep players.

Only gone up slightly from what i've seen, there's still tickets there for about £66, admittedly it's not the £40 return that i found on the day we went through but still not a massive jump.

Thanks. Bit the bullet and forked out.

This will definitely reach general sale, in fact I don't think we'll sell out 4600 being an early kick off, coaches leave 5.30 am and live on BBC enough to put off some fans, remember we couldn't even sell out the semi final away leg at Anfield last year, I reckon we'll take a similar number 3600 , maybe a bit less.

Most hotels in Wigan are fully booked for the Saturday night. Probably train for me but not the easiest journey

Although some of us just wouldn't have used it anyway, I really can't believe the club haven't laid on free coach travel for this for those that would. After the p*sstake over the date delay, stupid early start for those travelling and live on the box, they should have put on buses...and could've even helped out their own fans for a change with this 'Away Supporters Fund'.

Stoke will be bussing down 2,000 fans this weekend for free (they also only pay £20 for a visitors match ticket at SMS) and they do that for every away game.

If Swansea is rearranged in the next few weeks that will be 5 away games in a row coming up.

The club don't care about it's fans, sorry I mean customers.

The club couldn't give a toss about us. Those at the top of the hierarchy are utter bells and care more about some idiots in China starting to support us.

Compared to other clubs we get treated shoddily, and don't get me started on the £20 for away fans (that saints haven't tried to replicate for us from other teams) and then spending the away fund on painting the away concourse.

Nail on the head - it's making me fall out of love with it, if i'm honest.

Agree 100%. Personally the bingo bus isn't for me (even if it's free) but also aware I'm absolutely the minority, if we want to fill 4600 seats (and give our players the advantage of a huge, motivated away following) putting on coaches for free to get people up and back at such a horrible KO day/ time is a no brainer. You're looking at an outlay similar to a week's wages for a 1st team player, there must be a moneyball data geek somewhere that can put together a spreadsheet for Ralph showing the increased probability of a win based on crowd support... Seriously think that's the only language that robot understands?

When you put it like that, cynicism aside, it really does start to grate; behind the Northam is cold and sterile, which sums up the club and our football right now.

I'm a member, nipper's not! Do I wait for the 13th to get tickets or will they be sold out by then?

A friend of mine has a spare junior membership number that he`s not using which you`re more than welcome to use

Probably p*ss a few on here off with this but i'm kind of glad they've not put a bunch of free coaches on as that'll put off the "sit down and don't sing" brigade that would use the bingo buses if they were free.

Have you really met many people that don't want others to sing?

Wanting people to sit down is hardly unreasonable, not everyone is able to stand easily for 90 minutes and many have views obscured by those in-front. Standing can be very selfish at football games if obstructing the view of those behind you.

You really don't understand football do you? Or nuanced sentences either for that matter, since if you did you'd understand that it's not about them wanting others not to sing, more them not singing themselves.

Anyway don't you have something else to do, like correcting children for calling snow men men when they don't have genitals?

Why do you have to sing to enjoy football? It is possible to enjoy the game without singing and just watch it. People enjoy things in different ways and don't have to sing just because others do.

Personally I expect to stand at away games. Took my boys to their first game last round and told them before I got the tickets there would be a chance that they may not be able to see too well. In the end it wasn’t too bad. They had a blast, loved being part of a big singing crowd. Wish every game had an away atmosphere, closest you can get to replicating the good old days of the terraces. Ho hum.

Agreed. Been there, done that.

If you'd rather sit down then move away from the area where people who are standing and singing are congregating, simple.

Safe standing being introduced would solve this problem massively.

Genujne question. Are you a computer generated answer device?
