BotleySaint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Game over now. Another easy goal. Just run right through. why not eh.
Edmonton Saint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 God our defending is terrible. League One standard Stephens and Hoedt
CB Fry Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 It's okay. We're managed by the new Lawrie McMenemy.
DT Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Clinical finishing versus James Ward Prowse looping headers to their keeper Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Batman Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 so glad we never had a CB lined up when. our world record one was sold in December
Maggie May Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Why even bother preparing for this game? Why are our rivals and relegation battlers looking like they can play and fight for survival? Dreadful.
Pamplemousse Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 We’ve been here before and ended up winning. If we can get an early goal in the second half, we’ll have a chance. I have a feeling though that we might capitulate.
Delmary Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 We have too many players that just ball watch.
5string Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Aaaand my stream just died. Probably not a bad thing.
Jonnyboy Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 How many did we concede against the scousers last season with Puel in charge?
DT Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 We seem so concerned about pretty patterns and tippy tap. Wish we had a manager with some oomph and desire Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Ohio Saint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Yes, this is Liverpool, but it was still a perfectly winnable fixture. Dammit!!
Crab Lungs Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 so glad we never had a CB lined up when. our world record one was sold in December Les has and always will be relaxed and confident about the centre back situation.

del boy Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 at least I get the fantasy league points for Salah as captain - thought that would stop him
Saint Pete Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Hoedt really isn’t great, is he? Pretty worrying he is now considered our best centre back.
OttawaSaint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Shame we don’t have anyone capable of tucking it away like that. Long would have passed it to the keeper, Austin wouldn’t have got there. It’d have been on Gabbi’s wrong foot. Tadic would have put it wide, Davis over, Hoj hit crossbar, Prowse curled it the wrong side of post. Ugh.
Pamplemousse Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 you on crack mate. we had a brilliant manager then, we have a fuking clown now It was tongue in cheek, I’m optimistic but not today sadly
SKD Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 We are ****ing terrible at defending. Shambles.
SonicBoom Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Hoedt having a mare. This time Salah takes the ball in front of him. Plays the ball sideways and Hoedt follows the ball not the man. Firmino returns the pass and Salah is on his own. Schoolboy stuff.
DT Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Gulf in class. VVD not breaking sweat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Bananaman Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Hoedt at fault for both. Rule one, play the man not the ball.
BotleySaint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 For all our posession and effort we've been chasing shadows when they attack. No answer to their slick play. Not enough quality at the back.
DT Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Need boufal at half time to at least attack them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Avenue_Saint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 DEFENCE absolutely pathetic. We don't need a cb apparently!
Yorkshire Saint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 zero pace in forward areas Exactly - I just don’t understand why we didn’t start with the same 11 as WBA and Boufal
Plastic Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Imagine being a Liverpool fan and getting to watch your team score good goals.
IronCitySaint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Embarrassingly easy for Liverpool. No need to even get out of second gear. Beaten by Swansea and WBA but no need to worry about coming to St. Mary's.
obelisk Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Liverpool offer an example of composure & finishing in the final third. That is basically the difference.
alpine_saint Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 This is hurting so much. We really have squandered too many of the easy home fixtures. We got a mountain to climb to avoid relegation

hypochondriac Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 I still think we are going down, last weeks result against the worst team didn't change my thinking. In many ways defeat last week and a new manager now would have given us a better chance of beating the drop.
Heisenberg Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Damage limitation time now. Had Liverpool +3 and Bet365 offering 90% already on cash out

5string Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Plenty of possession, a few chances. But (and this is the thing) no clinical approach, no finishing prowess, no risk-taking, no real fight. Carp defending doesn't help, either. We're bottom 3 and everyone can see why.

qwertyell Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Well, at least we're not going to lose Hoedt to Liverpool. Three basic errors by him in that half, punished twice. We've played relatively okay. But this is a hopeless cause. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
badgerx16 Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Too easy to break through our defence, and too easy to defend against our attacks. The WBA result bought MoPe time he shouldn't have been given.

DT Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Fed up watching Mope’s teams just not going for it. It’s a really weedy, lily livered form of football. No drive or determination. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
doddisalegend Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 I said in the match build up we get dicked if we played open and took the game to them. Not playing long has left zero pace up front meaning that, although we have a lot of the ball we are no threat easy day for Liverpools defence.

Bewildered Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Shame for us the only player who can make the right runs to get on the end of a cross can't actually head the ball. Also the **** defence.
stknowle Posted 11 February, 2018 Posted 11 February, 2018 Liverpool offer an example of composure & finishing in the final third. That is basically the difference. Well, that and our central defence is totally inadequate.
