derry Posted 5 February, 2018 Share Posted 5 February, 2018 Tyreke Johnson looks a handful, Hesketh looks very classy and looks a lot stronger now, Sims is getting there looking useful.

Baird of the land Posted 6 February, 2018 Share Posted 6 February, 2018 Nice to see U23 getting back to back victories. Seem to have a reasonably kind run in, so if they an keep the key players fit, they could go on a run. Also would really like to see Hesketh given another chance in the first team. rooney Posted 6 February, 2018 Share Posted 6 February, 2018 Good after match interview by Sam McQueen. Seems to be from the JWP School of Intelligencia.
Greedyfly Posted 6 February, 2018 Share Posted 6 February, 2018 Tyreke Johnson looks a handful, Hesketh looks very classy and looks a lot stronger now, Sims is getting there looking useful. I thought that too, he seems to have grown if anything. Very nice player though, him, Sims and McQueen should have had more of a look-in this season for me. derry Posted 7 February, 2018 Share Posted 7 February, 2018 I think it's time to ditch Davis and bring Hesketh in on the bench as an attacking midfielder (10) to bring him up another level. He has filled out and looks much stronger now and avoids sideways and backwards where possible. Johnson and Sims are coming on nicely and Obefemi is very young. I'd like to see Sam McQueen playing as an attacking midfielder for the 1st team, as he is a goal scorer, and that is exactly what we need.
Pancake Posted 7 February, 2018 Share Posted 7 February, 2018 I'd like to see Sam McQueen playing as an attacking midfielder for the 1st team, as he is a goal scorer, and that is exactly what we need. This was one of the various positions he was played at Southend by Phil Brown. Not sure Brown knew what to do with him to be honest and he wasted a bit at Roots Hall despite playing well in every match and scoring a couple of very important goals for them. Dangermouth Posted 7 February, 2018 Share Posted 7 February, 2018 Good after match interview by Sam McQueen. Seems to be from the JWP School of Intelligencia. Sarcasm or do you think he belongs in the intellgentsia? He does speak well, however. Agree with Derry about Hesketh. Now, if he can mix it, we might start to see things from him. Either that or he needs a loan now.
