5string Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Oof! YASSS 3 points away, came from behind. Good win, boys!
Jimmy_D Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Holy ****. Results don't get much bigger than that!
Bad Wolf Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Bloody hell! I've not been that nervous for literally years.
SaintBobby Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Phew. Felt ill for that whole second half.
IronCitySaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 And that is what happens when you play your best team. Hope he finally learns from that.
Topcat Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 May have saved the season. But 4 points from this and Brighton was the minimum required to stay up.
Suhari Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Much, much better. Can we still sack the clown though please?
Batman Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 brilliant. I thought we played (for most of the game) like the squad should. also, decent game management at the end. Lemina my MoM. lightyears ahead of Davis. Fair play to Pellegrino today 10/10 for everyone today
millsy Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Thank god for that. Far more bodies up front and therefore looked dangerous going forward for once.
Pamplemousse Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 YES YES YES YES YES!!!! Massive result! Now let's smash the scousers next week
Plumstead_Saint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 At last....A win :)Well played and battled saints :DTough call for MOTMLemina?JWP?STephens?
DT Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Huge result. Picks Lemina and Boufal and goes for it. Coincidence? Well done Saints. Awesome. Very happy tonight. Hope MP learns from it - attack!
Saint Albert Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 What a relief. Now it’s time to go outside, shovel some snow from my driveway (there’s quite a bit of it) and get rid of some of this nervous energy.
Lighthouse Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Finally! Forgotten what it feels like. To think of all the points we've dropped playing the likes of Long and Davis, when we could have actually tried to win some games.
badgerx16 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I've somehow slipped into a parallel universe, where Southampton football club play away and win, having scored 3 goals. Now I'm off to look for the wicked witch of the east.
Suhari Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 And that is what happens when you play your best team. Hope he finally learns from that. If it takes a manager 26 games to learn its best to play your best team, he shouldn't be a manager!
Saint_clark Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Manager needs to stick with that side from now on. Get some consistency going. I still believe there is potentially something there with Pellegrino, despite all the horrific mistakes. Sent from my SM-J330FN using Tapatalk

beatlesaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Where has Lemina been? sat on the bench cos Coco the clown kept leaving him out

Sent from my SM-J330FN using Tapatalkthere isn't. even if he stays and somehow keeps us up. he has to be replaced
Pilchards Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Pellegrino who drops Lemina needs to thank him for keeping his job. What a player as he keeps the team attacking rather than turning it back for some dull passing along the back.

OttawaSaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 We played some excellent football at times today. A little bit nervy at the back at times and I know we were playing a ****ty team but the pace and guile in attack was much much better. Long should have made it 4-2, how a pro can miss from there is unfathomable. Well done Saints.
skintsaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Unbeaten in the last 4 league games...onwards we go!
whelk Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 i kept pacing round the house trying to find things to do. delay from feed was driving me nuts I nearly turned mine off as couldn’t cope at end.
austsaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Just sack the pri ck anyway. I'm with him - They still have to toss Pellegrino out. Had forgotten what winning a game felt like. Lemina man-of-the-match by the length of the straight and for those criticising Romeu, he was immense again. Stephens good, Hoedt wobbly at times, both full backs good today and a slick free kick goal from JWP.
OttawaSaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 So is Davis Paul Moody and Lemina Le Tissier?
Saint86 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 A crucial win, managed to miss most of it bar the two goals in the first half, and the last 5 minutes!! Family! I think i've missed most of the stress and got the enjoyment of the result!
badgerx16 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Long should have made it 4-2, how a pro can miss from there is unfathomable. He does it every game.
jasonb Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Oooooh oooooh Mario Lemina... Sooooo tense that last 20 minutes. M A S S I V E 3pts.
Norm Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Ah hem, posted 9.57 yesterday, I’m going for a Saints win, 1-2 or 2-3.
Dusic Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 MP got that just about right, hopefully he starts learning as they will obviously not be sacking him now (for a couple of games anyway). Good character from a goal down as well. 1. When Tadic plays well, the team plays well. Need to get the best out of him like today 2. Good to see Redmond back, albeit briefly. He gives an option none of our other attackers do. 3. We are utterly ****e at defending set plays and crosses and its because we just don't have a physically strong side. Stating the obvious but we need to avoid conceding them where possible. Oh, and start Lemina every week.

niceandfriendly Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Bloody hell! I've not been that nervous for literally years. Could barely watch. Haven't calmed down yet. That ***t Oliver deserves a slap for playing 6 and a half minutes of injury time. Pellegrino deserves slap for not playing that team every week. YEEÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊEEEEEEEEEESSSS@!!!!!!!
Mr X Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 great result! three hugely important points, but lets not convince ourselves that MP had anything to do with it, he still needs to go!
DT Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 We shouldn't get carried away as Palace play Newcastle tomorrow (presumably we want a draw) but good to look at the table for a bit tonight. Three points seems huge. Weird
