I'll say this for the 100th time in the hope that someone at SFC gets the message, just in case.

IF WE SELL DAVIS WE WILL, NOT MIGHT, WILL BE RELEGATED!!!

I agree it will be tough, but we cannot say with any certainty it will happen. Forecast may turn out to be better.

i wonder what the reaction would be if it was steve howard being linked with the club....much like the usual reaction he gets on here.....still, he has made the grade in this league...which is more that can be said for lupoli

DellDays is looking for a fight if anyone's interested...

If we where to play a 4-4-2 with two out and out strikers then a right sided player who comes inside isn't a totally bad thing, as long as Holmes spends the whole game out wide strecthing teams then it should be ok.

It makes the team, narrow and lopsided, no crosses from the right byeline to the left back post and worse nobody on the right back post when crosses coming in from the left. Lallana always gets sucked in to the near post.

I know it's a different level, Utd are brilliant at playing both touchlines, then always hold back two players attacking the back post as the defence is sucked in, then outnumbered. If the wide man comes in, somsbody else takes the touchline, we don't do this and it is fundamental.

think we argue enough about present players, then add the past players -so don't think we need a debate on two player who have never played for us nor firmly linked!;)

I am going to be mighty disappointed if this particular bleedin' rumour is a wind-up. We need another decent striker so McGoaldrought can be put back in the reserves to practice what he's paid to do. At least that way he might get a bit more hungry for a game. I suspect Saga will be costing too much money for Lowe's liking.

Cant be arsed to look through 5 pages of no doubt "stimulating" lupoli based conjecture but the sun has a "club sources" quoted as saying no meeting between us and lupoli or his agents has happened. Add this one to the list of ****e rumours then along with dos santos? lol

no its not. But would you change a defence after two clean sheets etc?

He has done ok over the season -if he goes on a run now he will be doing well, if he stops scoring and someone else is available you change it around.

no...but OVER THE SEASON..i think he has been crap...I would gladly change my mind if he started scoring and the reports of his lazyness stopped

what annoys people is when they see (quite alot) lack of effort...as he has the skill to do the job...

posted before so will make it short...saw him playing for youth/reserves that season when he got huge goal tally, he was poor, arrogant but knew he would score and did.

Think he is suffering from being young, thrown in underperforming side without experienced support behind/alongside him and confidence.

Think he will become decent player. But not a worker!

9 goals so far is not bad.

I guess this so called transfer has now gone the way of the Dailly one. Not going to happen.

Were we not going to be taken over today as well????

Personally I am looking forward to seeing the home débuts of two players and the return of another tomorrow.

Saga has played one game you fukkin spaz. Mcgoaldrought has been everpresent, and isn't he sharp...................

Calm down dear. Of course Saga has only played one (mind you he wasn't actually prolific last season was he with his massive 3 goals in total). I was just highlighting how pathetic your name calling is.

It makes me laugh how precious people are about Dobie on here whilst at the same time laying into McGoldrick who is in his first full season in the first team.

This may be of interest to some of you but not to others and read in to it what you will, and make up your own minds.

Lupoli, much to his annoyance, was yet again left on the bench today by Norwich. This was also much to the disgust of a large number of the Canary fan club who were hoping Bryan Gunn would play him in a bid to keep him happy and not jumping ship to a relegation rival. (the final score did dampen the feeling)

During the game, Lupoli went for a warm up and certain sections of the Norwich fans started singing his name, to which the Barnsley fans started their own rendition of "oh when the saints" (not oh when the reds or oh when the tykes) This as you can imagine wasnt greated well by Norwich fans. However this does show the rumours are not confined to just Saints and Norwich.

When Lupoli did come on, Norwich were awarded a penalty to which Lupoli grabbed the ball to take (typical striker, and good to see) but much to his annoyance the ball was taken off of him by Clingan and words were exchanged. At the end of the whistle and after a 4-0 win, it was all smiles at Norwich, except for one particular Italian.......
