ART Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 The answer to our current dilemma is right there under our noses. Kelvin Davis is the man to give the entire squad of players the massive motivation to fight for our Premier League survival. Get rid of Pelligrino immediately and Kelvin will straight away put things in order. I sometimes wonder if this hasn't been the Board solution all along.
Disco Stu Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Couldn't get any worse... Famous last words
Wrensup Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 (edited) Any kelvin Davis particular in mind or? Edited 1 February, 2018 by Wrensup
Disco Stu Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Any kelvin Davis particularly in mind or? Super Kelvin Davis.
S-Clarke Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Sounds like a Wigley appointment But didn't Wigley even have a better % than MP...?
trousers Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Box of frogs. To be fair, it's not his daftest idea...
Ohio Saint Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 I'd have to say no, but if there were no other managerial options available then it would certainly be tempting to have KD motivating the team to do whatever the hell they thought best on the pitch......It would not be worse than what we have already.
Matthew Le God Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Any caretaker manager would more likely be Martin Hunter or Radhi Jaidi, with Kelvin assisting them.
yellow&blue Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Oh that’s all we need, a cheap option and a “yes man” for Les Reed! Ludicrous idea!!!
VectisSaint Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Any caretaker manager would more likely be Martin Hunter or Radhi Jaidi, with Kelvin assisting them. So things could get worse. What a triumvirate. At least Craig Fleming and Danny Butterfield would have a better chance of doing something positive.
Nordic Saint Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 One of the worst goalkeepers in the history of the Premier League, the man Sunderland fans still hold responsible for getting them relegated in 2006, no previous coaching experience, and he's coaching our first team along with ex-Barnsley goalkeeper, Dave Watson, neither of them with any experience of coaching outfield players. It is ridiculously amateurish and just about sums up the shambolic state the club is in. Kelvin became first team coach in December and we haven't won a single league games since. He'd be lucky to get a managerial position in the Conference.
Matthew Le God Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 It is ridiculously amateurish and just about sums up the shambolic state the club is in. I'm puzzled how you have decided it "sums up the shambolic state the club is in", it isn't a club decision they have actually made... it is a suggestion on an internet forum by ART.
Stu Man Do Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Yeah spot on! As if giving an useless manager the boot for an inexperienced coach who has no managerial experience is the way to get us out of this mess? Pelegrino must go but not to be replaced by an even cheaper option if such a thing exists!
yellow&blue Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Kelvin became first team coach in December and we haven't won a single league games since. He'd be lucky to get a managerial position in the Conference. Maybe he was being trained up for the role by Eric Black what with his track record......
Lighthouse Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 To be fair, it's not his daftest idea... It's up there. He'd probably have the whole team shooting low at the near post from 30 yards, because those shots are impossible to save apparently.
Buenos Aires Saint Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Worked for Newcastle when they gave it to their club hero Shearer...
DT Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Possibly the second worst idea ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Whitey Grandad Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 It's up there. He'd probably have the whole team shooting low at the near post from 30 yards, because those shots are impossible to save apparently. It’s a basic principle. ‘Shoot hard and low on sight of goal’. Kelvin as manager? No thanks. It would be a massive gamble and we’ve had too many of those recently.
notnowcato Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Get Mark Hughes in.....we stay up We have more chance of staying up
Dark Munster Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 Possibly the second worst idea ever. Second worst. Worst is keeping the present **** as manager.
saint-crinny Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 When people mention Kelvin motivating the players, where has that come from? Because he's their mate? A) when has that ever worked? Really not that often B) where is the evidence that his promotion to first team duties has had any motivating impact or influence? Hardly a sudden surge in form
egg Posted 1 February, 2018 Posted 1 February, 2018 He'd be a car crash imo. If we needed a caretaker, Jaidi, Craig Fleming or Danny Butterfield all have more coaching experience. Not saying they'd be any good mind.
NorthamSteve Posted 2 February, 2018 Posted 2 February, 2018 Let just hope the board don't read this thread.
rooney Posted 2 February, 2018 Posted 2 February, 2018 Kelvin is already in the dressing room ad he team/board know his motivational qualities. Not experienced enough to be manager and as 70's Mike said above , this would be another Wigley type appointment and we certainly do not want that.
ringwood Posted 2 February, 2018 Posted 2 February, 2018 Andy Hessenthaler , he's had an immediate effect on Eastleigh !
