Shroppie Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 His set pieces and crosses against Brighton were in the main woeful even the goal looked like a scuffed free kick. The free kick looked deliberate. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
scotty Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 He put in a couple of absolutely fantastic crosses first half. Definite starter, but with Tadic on the other side I would put JWP middle and some pace out right, be that Redmond, Sims or possibly even Long. He put in one particularly good cross that really Long should have buried.
Wade Garrett Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I reckon our tactical genius will set us up 9-0-1.
Supersubpuckett Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 He put in one particularly good cross that really Long should have buried. yes he did - unfortunately long has the predatory strikers instinct of a statue
Batman Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I have WBA to win in my accy. so, that is that
Ken Tone Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 His set pieces and crosses against Brighton were in the main woeful even the goal looked like a scuffed free kick. I'm sorry, but that is nonsense. Ward prowse out in several excellent crosses, in the first half especially
Bad Wolf Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Anyone got any decent odds on WBA? I fancy an insurance bet.
wild-saint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I have WBA to win in my accy. so, that is that Co(k
foxy9143 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I'm sorry, but that is nonsense. Ward prowse out in several excellent crosses, in the first half especially I think maybe people's view of his overall game may be influenced by the free kick he took frpm just outside the box in the second half. I was thinking "come on Prowsey this is perfect for you, show the doubters you really are a dead-ball specialist". Into the wall. We really do need some magic at the moment, and a beautiful curling free kick into the top corner by our academy hero would have given everyone a lift....(and lifted us up to 14th)
pingwing Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Sturridge will score, Pardew will get one over on us and Shane "Mr. Prolific" Long will start He’s close to redifining prolific after Chamak’s spell at Arsenal/Palace...
doddisalegend Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I'm sorry, but that is nonsense. Ward prowse out in several excellent crosses, in the first half especially It's not I was there our crossing was woeful against a team that were set up to eat up high balls into the box. JWPs corners never beat the first defender.
nta786 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Hey guys Wheres the best away pubs near the Hawthorns or in town for today?
Simon3737 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 IMHO: -----------------------------McCarthy--------------------------- Cedric------------Stephens---------Hoedt------------Bertrand --------------------Romeu---------Hojbjerg-------------------- --Ward-Prowse----------------------------------------Tadic---- -----------------------Gabbiadini/Boufal------------------------ ----------------------------Carrillo------------------------------- I expect what Pellegrino will actually do is recall Redmond and Forster (just for giggles) and we’ll lose 4-1, but he’ll be delighted as we had 58% possession (and say West Brom are a very good team with very good players and there’s only a small number of points between 8-10 teams etc etc, blah blah blah).
Saint Fan CaM Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 I had a feeling this will be a draw...1-1. However Pardew has reinforced the team and they are starting to look handy therefore this could very well be a significant loss. 3-0
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Hey guys Wheres the best away pubs near the Hawthorns or in town for today? The Vine is the standard WBA trip pub
Delmary Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Awaiting news of another uninspiring team selection.
Wimborne_saint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Spot on team selection for me, I'm shocked!
davayy Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Tadic, Boufal and Carillo - there has to be a goal or two in there somewhere..
Matthew Le God Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Awaiting news of another uninspiring team selection. It is surprisingly positive...
Manuel Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 3 points will make the table look much better this evening. Anything else today and I resign myself to relegation.
Saints foreva Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Harsh on PEH. Been far superior to Romeu this season.
Bad Wolf Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 McCarthy, Forster Cedric, Pied, Stephens, Yoshida, Polish guy, Gardos, Bertrand, McQueen Romeo Long Bench: De Gea, Lampard, Ronaldo, Messi, Pele, Best, Ronaldonho.
beatlesaint Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Spot on team selection for me, I'm shocked! likewise, my only slight umm moment is dropping Hojberg
SuperSAINT Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Starting XI: Foster; Nyom, McAuley ©, Hegazi, Dawson; Brunt, Barry, Yacob, Phillips; Rondon, Sturridge. Subs: Myhill, Jameson, Field, Harper, McClean, Burke, Rodriguez. #WBASOU #COYB #WBA
Saint Matty 76 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 It's actually probably our best team other than Hojbjerg/Romeu and Austin/Carrillo debates. No excuses if we don't win this, he HAS to go.
Trout-Tickler Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Should've played that team on Wednesday! Reckon he knows it's win or bust....
Manuel Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Yep, other than Hoj/Romeu I think that's what most would have gone for. COYR!!
Delmary Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Pleasantly surprised. Although I would have started Hojbjerg over Romeu.
Shroppie Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Harsh on PEH. Been far superior to Romeu this season. That's what I thought. Otherwise team not too bad on paper. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Pilchards Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 likewise, my only slight umm moment is dropping Hojberg Swap for Romeu and that would of been our best team for sure.
Saint Albert Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Hoj is a little unlucky to be on the bench. I’m happy Lemina and Boufal start. Not a lot to complain about with the line up though, so well done Pellegrino. Fingers crossed that we do the double on WBA... And Redmond returns to the bench...
DT Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 likewise, my only slight umm moment is dropping Hojberg Good point. Would have perhaps lost Tadic for him
S-Clarke Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 WBA are missing Krychowiak, Evans, Gibbs and Jay (who has a slight knock apparently). With our team and the players they are missing, this is as clear an oppertunity as we're going to get for the remainder of the season.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Even a broken clock is right twice in a day (and night)!
Saint Albert Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Evans is not even in the squad for W. Brom. Same with Krychowiak who apparently had improved under Pardew. J-Rod is on the bench with Sturridge and Rondon starting.
saint77 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Can’t argue with that lineup really. That’s the side that should of started at home Wednesday
hypochondriac Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 WBA are missing Krychowiak, Evans, Gibbs and Jay (who has a slight knock apparently). With our team and the players they are missing, this is as clear an oppertunity as we're going to get for the remainder of the season.Yep. I know we have said this a lot this year but this really is last chance saloon.

With our team and the players they are missing, this is as clear an oppertunity as we're going to get for the remainder of the season. I probably should have read this before posting mine... Evans is a big loss for them.
Matthew Le God Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 likewise, my only slight umm moment is dropping Hojberg Good point. Would have perhaps lost Tadic for him Are we now criticising him for playing an extra attacking creative player?
eddie Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 great line up. confused about PEH but willing to give MP benefit of the doubt - could be tactical, slight injury to PEH, whatever. Good decision to start Lemina and Boufal, as well as JWP. I’m optimistic given Albion’s injuries.
LeBizzier69 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Have to say pretty happy with that as most of us are. Maybe he's been messing with us all this time, testing our loyalty, and now he'll show that he makes Pochettino look like Steve McLaren.
saintsmike25 Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Other than PEH over Romeu (Romeu has been sh** this season) I like that team, Tadic/Boufal in the same lineup however is problematic, both have to ensure they work harder when not in possesion. JWP might be more central which could be a weak point as i liked him on the right as his delivery and threat is far greater. Carillo needs to ensure he links well, even floating balls into the box to him will be ineffective against West Brom's tall XI - we need to get in behind and provide runners, Carillo should simply be the man to ensure we dominate in WBA half. Key threat from us will be from Bertrand and Cedric, when they both play we are a far greater team, that will be where our best chance of a win will come from.
sfc4prem Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Team selection means bugger all if they've been told to retreat into their own box when they concede possession
DT Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Are we now criticising him for playing an extra attacking creative player? No problems with an extra attacking player tbh, but Tadic was pretty bad on Wednesday (mind you, so was Boufal). Like others, i have to say Romeu is a shadow of his former self and Hoj should have been in. Oh well, let's see..
Saints foreva Posted 3 February, 2018 Posted 3 February, 2018 Can see Rondon bullying our two weak CBs.
