There are so many teams involved in the mix that it's guaranteed some of the teams around us will drop points, so as long we start winning we'll soar up the table.

Having said that, I wouldn't be against Arsenal and Liverpool winning tonight

Van Dijk dropped already. :)

That is very funny.

£75m and presumably not match fit (coz he has been ambling around the pitch for 6 months).

I would be bloody furious if I had signed a £75m guy, playing in the same league as me, and he can't manage a couple of games in a week.......

A highlight of the season so far (hey, it's been pretty dull!) seeing Van Dijk sulking on the bench after just a couple of games.

Replaced by a guy who cost £55m less from us.

Deliberately playing at 50% is a difficult habit to drop.

palace winning and currently 10th

i bet woy would have been laughed at if linked with us in the summer

canny old manager he is

Yeah and you would've been leading the laughing.

Lol people wetting themselves over West Ham VS Palace. Both sides will be safe.
Interesting, since if West Ham score another and we win tomorrow, we'll be above Palace and, I presume, therefore safe. That's a relief.

IT helps that they have 3-4 very good attacking players and two excellent CBs; even if they are both injured at the moment. Some credit to Hodgson though; and the Chairman for decisive action.

Huddersfield are horrendous. Even more horrendous is the fact that we didn't beat them this season.
They were still on the promotion honeymoon when we played them first. Criminal that we didn't win at St Mary's.

In our own hands though isn't it? win tomorrow and we won't be.

blimey Swansea 27% possession at home still I doubt they care..

I don't think we can rely on other teams messing up to get us out of this mess. We desperately need to win back to back games in order to gain both points and confidence. Having said that we've only managed 4 wins all season, I'm really not sure we have enough character to fight our way out of this.

True. Very tight and a win will take us up several places. But we do have to win.

Can we all at least agree that a draw at home to Arsenal in winter was not some great result and sign of improvement!!

No argument there. They were sh!t that day but our we decided to sit back and defend a 1-0 lead. I wonder who came up with that idea.

Bit of a tall order for us to win two in a row after so long without winning.
I know, but that's what we need if we are going to have a fighting chance.

This is is so like the last time we went down. WBA looking buried but saved themselves. Bournemouth haven’t got a team to play at the end of the season so they can lie down to see us relegated!

One place above where we deserve to be.

Some will be surprised, but it was clear weeks ago wed had a great half season of fixtures and were likely to plummet further. Given 19th place, you'd think we'll sack him if we don't win tomorrow. But that doesn't half make signings awkward. I don't really see how we can possibly stay up if we don't win tomorrow though, short of that run sunderland had when they went and beat all the top teams in April/May.

Have you thought of having some therapy?

I love that Arsenal have had 73% possession but managed 3 shots less than Swansea :mcinnes:
Typical of them, always try to walk it home.
