Saint for ever Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Very nice to see we're 1 up at HT. Sorry I can't be there today. Come on saints get another next half!
Saint Thomas Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Thanks very much for the radio link Offside! Come on Saints, McGoldrick to get the 2nd!
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Brum are gonna come at us this half I fear... gotta be braced to withstand some early pressure.
Poshie72 Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Thanks for the link. Just logged on to see the score. Neeed another COYR!
THEVMAN Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Listening on saints tv,all over brum hope we can keep it up and silence some of the negative idiots that think these kids cant cope .
Saint Thomas Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Sounds like we've started the 2nd half brightly
Saint Thomas Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Ah...I wasn't being sarcastic, I just have a delayed radio link.
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Solent: 'Perry mistimed his jump and it's cost us'... shame... Long way to go yet... we can still win this if we stay positive.
sfcuk fan Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 two corners in succession from brum, bit of pressure on us now
Michelle Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Sounds like we've started the 2nd half brightly Was that supposed to be ironic? Scrap that, just seen your second post. Balls. Come on Saints.
Thedelldays Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 tits....just signed up for saintsTV and as I put the commentry on they equalise... arrrrrrrrgghh
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Davis save from McFadden... gotta regroup and get some possession here.
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 ****. This Has a brum win all over it now Does it f*ck. They've got their tails up, it's to be expected, but there's a long way to go.
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Sounds like we did well in the first half, but I wonder if we were playing at full-tilt and only have one style of play, and maybe Brum have sussed us out over the break. Real test of JPs ability here - can he mix it ?
Jimmy_D Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Come on Saints! If we beat Shef Utd. with the crud we had last season from 0-1, we can bloody well win here from 1-1!
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Sounds like we did well in the first half, but I wonder if we were playing at full-tilt and only have one style of play, and maybe Brum have sussed us out over the break. Real test of JPs ability here - can he mix it ? Careful alps... people will accuse you of negativity. Perhaps it should be expected that a team with the quality of Birmingham were bound to come back into the game after a half time rocket from their manager... When the going gets tough etc, etc... It's a good test.
Saintmike666 Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Brum winning every ball now, saints seem totally out of it. C'mon you reds, i have FAITH!
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Brum winning every ball now, saints seem totally out of it. C'mon you reds, i have FAITH! So we're back to 32% football and hoofing it up the pitch ?
sfcuk fan Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 first half we sounded good, second half we're struggling a bit and brum got the upperhand at the mo come on you reds
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Brum winning every ball now, saints seem totally out of it. C'mon you reds, i have FAITH! Eh? 'Totally out of it'?! Not what I'm hearing. Yes, Brum are back into the game more, but we've had some good possession this half too.
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Saints line-up: Davis, James, Svensson, Perry, Surman, Schneiderlin, Gillett, McGoldrick, Lallana, Holmes, John. Subs: Lancashire, Thomson, Mills, Wotton, Bialkowski. There is no-one on that bench that could come on and change the game.
Saintmike666 Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 So we're back to 32% football and hoofing it up the pitch ? No 'Hoofing' involved just yet. Brum just have there tails up, we need to weather this storm then get ourselves sorted out
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 So we're back to 32% football and hoofing it up the pitch ? No, definately not. Come on people, did you expect us to not have some pressure to contend with at some point? It's a good job the team don't have the same mentality or they'd just give up now and go home.
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 There is no-one on that bench that could come on and change the game. I disagree. Thomson's pace can cause problems to a tiring defence. I admit I'm disappointed not to see more attacking options though.
Saintmike666 Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Eh? 'Totally out of it'?! Not what I'm hearing. Yes, Brum are back into the game more, but we've had some good possession this half too. I can only assume your listening to Radio Hampshire. I take it back slightly, we're not totally out of it. Certainly need to sort themselves out a bit though
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 No, definately not. Come on people, did you expect us to not have some pressure to contend with at some point? It's a good job the team don't have the same mentality or they'd just give up now and go home. Fair comment, how they have reacted / will react to conceeding is a real benchmark. Hold on to the draw or sneak a win, we know we are on to a winner. Conceed 3 more, some serious questions need to be asked in the boardroom about the club strategy and direction.
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Alpinesaint, you really are a sad, little ****. What merits that abuse ?
Saintmike666 Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Fair comment, how they have reacted / will react to conceeding is a real benchmark. Hold on to the draw or sneak a win, we know we are on to a winner. Conceed 3 more, some serious questions need to be asked in the boardroom about the club strategy and direction. Not with only 2 league games gone!
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 I disagree. Thomson's pace can cause problems to a tiring defence. I admit I'm disappointed not to see more attacking options though. We've given away all our attacking options.........
Minty Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Conceed 3 more, some serious questions need to be asked in the boardroom about the club strategy and direction. I don't think so... i don't want to pre-empt anything but we've been playing pretty well and we always knew it would be difficult with such wholesale changes. You can't judge anything re: club strategy and direction after two games of a season.
1965onwards Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 These boys are improving every game, and a lot quicker than anyone could hope for. This team is already better than last seasons team. Todays result will have no bearing on the season overall.
alpine_saint Posted 16 August, 2008 Posted 16 August, 2008 Not with only 2 league games gone! I know what you are saying, but in the light of this week's transfers, the squad is only going to get weaker, not stronger.
