Players attitude

I think it’s slowly coming out that certain players have become a problem at our club and this is why the board are giving Pellegrino plenty of chances to turn it around.

We knew VVD was a **** and reports are suggesting that Redmond is another one.

I know that Gabby is homesick and has probably been one that is showing less effort during training which might be the reason why he finds himself on the bench a lot.

Is Lemina another one that is a problem?

If this the new approach from MP to get those who want the best for the club in the team then let’s hope the results keep improving.

Perhaps we might have a decent manager after all as Puel proved the problem was not him.

Reports

One poster has mentioned Redmond. It's spread like wild fire and now its fact.

No evidence or suggestion anywhere about Lemina being an issue.

Same with Gabbi really, his issue is he's not really contributed in the patches he has played.

Reports are suggesting does not mean it’s a fact.

Why would you think Lemina is a problem ?

Anyone who takes to social media to apologise for a poor personal performance doesn’t fit the bill.

He’s black and has a fancy, uppity haircut, innit. If he had a short, back and sides like Des Walker, it would be a different matter. Tache is a definite plus, though.

Can't see Lemina being an issue - had an ankle issue which seems to be easing thankfully.

Gabbi rumour about being homesick but VVD was clearly well below his best, doing the minimum and Redmond's attitude on the pich was appalling. In any of of our workplaces (cue someone posting about how enjoyable their retirement is!), would you want to work with someone who behaves like that or even worse, have to manage them? Good that MP made a stand but I suspect if Sims was fit, it might have been made a lot earlier.

Hoedt's attitude seems OK on the pitch but wasn't impressed with the social media antics when dropped - Davis should have had a word about that (squad has to self-manage occasionally as well) oir maybe he did?

Despite predictions on here, Ryan's appeared much more engaged since VVD has gone. Could be a key senior player between now and May, and not just as a left back. We need leaders. Romeu starting to find some form at last, but I don't think his application has ever been under question. Tadic's has a bit, but played on the LEFT he's a different proposition. FFS Pellegrino, keep playing him there.

Massively so, he was on fire with Boufal on Saturday, so I was gutted when he was sat on the floor looking like it was game over.

I think we're under a cloud of many factors, not just players attitude, but if we play well again against Brighton then VVD may well have been toxic to us since the summer.

Leminas a good lad. Only just regained his fitness. He will play on Wednesday. The players are a good bunch in general. Dressing room fine.

Yup exactly what i've heard too, no idea where this Redmond crap has come from, by all accounts he's a good pro and liked in the dressing room. The only one's i've heard bad words against are Tadic, Bertrand and previously VVD. That plus Fonte acting the bell end to get his move.

This place loves a scapegoat though and Redmond is the perfect fit for the usual bandwagon jumping. I find it pretty depressing how quickly a section of our support are to decide someone is a bad influence, the Puncheon stuff for example, when normally it's not true.

Lines up with what I have been told.

Tadic is just high maintenance and falls out with pretty much every manager, but from what I am led to believe Fonte was pretty much the main reason (he was the instigator) why the players turned on Puel last season.

Bertrand was set to leave (i.e he wanted to go) by MP convinced him to stay. I'll be amazed if he is still here the start of next season (but apparently he isn't keen on moving, so would narrow is options - although money talks and I can't see him turning down City, personally).

No idea about Redmond, but his attitude on the pitch isn't great.

The Spurs game showed that the players are still playing for him IMO.

When the Pep thing was discussed on Sunday Supplement Henry Winter & 2 other journos (cant remember who they were) all agreed that Redmond is one of the nicest guys in the game. Said he was an intelligent approachable young man who was popular in the game. Doesn’t make him a better player, might not be true ( although why say it otherwise), but puts another perspective on the bloke. I get the feeling people desperately want him to be a twt because that suits their agenda.

Nah. I'm guessing some people are basing it on his seemingly stroppy attitude on the pitch. We don't know either way though clearly.

On Soccer AM with Charlie Austin Saturday they brought it up as well...it wasn't anything was his words and Pellegrino had a word with Redmond about it apparently.

Mountains and molehills that one.
