doddisalegend Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 First off you always have to take these things with a pinch (normal a ****ing big one) but assuming the ball park figures are at least in the right area it can be quite interesting to see what clubs ( allegedly pay) and if some of those wages are correct they are quite surprising. http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=1A6BD5F727B54389B3368EF9C40FE190&url=https%3a%2f%2fwww.themag.co.uk%2f2018%2f01%2ftop-paid-player-every-premier-league-club-revealed-newcastle-united%2f&c=7096787038312530089&mkt=en-gb
wild-saint Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 Surely bompy can’t be paying Defoe 130k pw?
Batman Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 Surely bompy can’t be paying Defoe 130k pw?why not?
Greenridge Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 Surely bompy can’t be paying Defoe 130k pw? Sounds a lot but he came on a free and at 35 I'm guessing on a short-term contract. Maybe they considered that the offset.
Micky Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 Which ever way you look at it - the figures are obscene. Some great comments about grass roots football and how guys actually pay subs to try to get a game. We are one fooked up society sadly.
Pamplemousse Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 I thought Forster was our highest paid player? Or was that last season?
doddisalegend Posted 24 January, 2018 Author Posted 24 January, 2018 I thought Forster was our highest paid player? Or was that last season? His wages were heavily linked to a goal saved bonus this season he has earned £1.45 and a snickers in performance related pay....
Batman Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 Because hes not worth itnone of these players are worth it.
scotty Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 Because hes not worth it You've always been bitter since L'Oréal sacked you from their marketing department, haven't you.

Window Cleaner Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 His wages were heavily linked to a goal saved bonus this season he has earned £1.45 and a snickers in performance related pay.... And the Snickers was on cut price offer because it was past it's best before date.
Donatello Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 His wages were heavily linked to a goal saved bonus this season he has earned £1.45 and a snickers in performance related pay.... Some might be inclined to say he's been overpaid at that rate
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 24 January, 2018 Posted 24 January, 2018 I thought Forster was our highest paid player? Or was that last season? He is still by some margin

Secret Site Agent Posted 25 January, 2018 Posted 25 January, 2018 And the Snickers was on cut price offer because it was past it's best before date. Hey, steady now with the Snickers. Quite a sore point with him. He was supposed to have a snickers but when they threw it to him he dropped it, and the others in the six pack and, well, you know his issue with getting anything at his feet.

Some great comments about grass roots football and how guys actually pay subs to try to get a game. We are one fooked up society sadly. Actually I think the grass roots observations show the opposite, and are reassuring.
