doddisalegend Posted 24 January, 2018 Share Posted 24 January, 2018 My guess is that Sturridge will come on loan the last day of the window And be injured the day after, for the rest of the season, after picking up a nasty injury during his first training session... LeBizzier69 Posted 24 January, 2018 Share Posted 24 January, 2018 I'm not saying we want or need him - I'm just stating that he knows where the back of the net is unlike our options. Ridiculously injury prone but one of the best finishers in the league when fit.

supersonic Posted 25 January, 2018 Share Posted 25 January, 2018 Hope not, and won't happen anyway. Can't stand him. He's lost pace and hasn't even performed well for a couple of years now, his wages are huge and he's never played in a struggling team. There's good reason City and Chelsea ditched him. Doesn't matter how important a goal is, his first thought always seems to be his brand and that fcking stupid dance. He'll go abroad and end up at West Ham on about 200k a week at some point. He played for Bolton in 2010/11 and was instrumental in keeping them up, scoring 8 goals in 12 games.

GarrettIvo Posted 25 January, 2018 Share Posted 25 January, 2018 Less productive lol. Never could decide if we dodged a bullet by not getting him, or if we would have been the right environment for him to blossom. Under Puel it was probably unlikley. Under MP it would never happen. S-Clarke Posted 25 January, 2018 Share Posted 25 January, 2018 Why not just get Berahino? Younger, fitter, less productive. He's gone on a worse scoring-blank than long! I think his last goal came at the start of 2016 for WBA! An example of a player who let it all go to his head.

It's entirely possible and he's a better class of striker than we have if he stays fit.

Then boom hello physio table. Don't think that's right - his absences from 1st team duties were often down to Klopp not selecting him. Would he be any more injury prone than Austin? I don't think so. Given our situation, I would have welcomed him here - he's got class and he's clinical.

Suomi Saint Posted 30 January, 2018 Share Posted 30 January, 2018 I think Pardew will keep them up as JRod/Sturridge will do the business.
