captainchris Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 We didn’t sit back, just useless defending. We are not coached at all to defend. Zero coaching. We stand off and let them do what they like just outside our box... Pathetic non existent coaching
OttawaSaint Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Defence all over the place. Spurs will get at least 4 today.
washsaint Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Wow...our defending is so bad....awful in fact. At least we are competing....shame we have not done this all season or we would not be in this position. McCarthy looks very dodgy.

bpsaint Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Shock, we're so poor at defending it's unreal. Stephens looks like a shadow of himself from last year Stephens wasn’t that great last season in fairness, kinda why we’re in the position we are. 5string Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 JWP seems to be toughening up a bit. Vertonghen at fault there, though - and cried about it. Nice football out of defence there.

Saint_clark Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Players usually get a yellow after the third for persistent fouling. That's 4 and petulant arm flailing at the ref from Dembele there. Sent from my SM-J330FN using Tapatalk

Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Probably the most impressive starting line-up we've seen from MP. Lemina, Romeu & Hoedt all starting is very positive. Nice to see Gabbi starting a game too.

SNSUN Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 No pressure, just getting it on target would've been enough. Nope. Gotta take those chances. I said that, got to take those chances. And Lemina's tame shot just now. We're Playing well but you know a Spurs goal next and we'll capitulate. Need to get our noses back in front. Attack is the best form of defence. 5string Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Might I suggest sending off a Saint for a first offence whilst letting Dembele hack, elbow and clatter all game? That'll be it. Surprised JWP wasn't carded for leaving his foot in earlier - even though he was being rugby tackled at the time. Dembele will have his fouls reset at half time so nothing in the 1st half will count towards a potential card. All Saints fouls will be carried over. The question is what will Pochettino do to change it, and how will Pellegrino react? We know that Poch has no Plan B. Unfortunately Pellegrino's plan B is "go out and play worse second half, lads", so he might not need one.
Saint_clark Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Commentator a bit of a comedian, “Redmond...on the bench, of course he has World Cup...”.Every single week pundits, commentators and even neutral fans rave about him and when he's on the bench are bewildered as if that's why we're so low down. disconnect Posted 21 January, 2018 Share Posted 21 January, 2018 Stephens is not premier league standard. Sure he's solid enough for Championship and against some of the lower level teams, but gets shown up when he comes up against a top class striker. It's quite telling of all the younger English centre backs, you never hear of any links to clubs wanting to buy Stephens.
