Suhari Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 There's only one Siph Mdlalose. Is this game being shown anywhere?
SuperSAINT Posted 15 January, 2018 Author Posted 15 January, 2018 There's only one Siph Mdlalose. Is this game being shown anywhere? Looks like it:
SuperSAINT Posted 15 January, 2018 Author Posted 15 January, 2018 Why did Olomola return? His loan was only 6 months at Yeovil. Was lots of talk of them offering him a contract for a permanent move (perhaps hinting we're letting him go at the end of the season). But with Barnes going there, I'm assuming he's perhaps looking at going to a higher level.
SuperSAINT Posted 15 January, 2018 Author Posted 15 January, 2018 Is Hesketh injured again? Probably. Hope it's not serious. (But if it is, we won't hear anything about it)
Shroppie Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Sam McQueen as a number 10? Random alert.Interesting possibilities. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
washsaint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Dunno what has happened to our club but the U23s are as gash our first team. Painful to watch
nta786 Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Well the U23s were relegated last season. The first team will be relegated this season. Don’t look like we are breeding or buying success these days.
angelman Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Well At least we can't be relegated (I think!)
SuperSAINT Posted 15 January, 2018 Author Posted 15 January, 2018 3-0 Just as bad as the first team. Is MP in charge tonight?
James Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Total shambles from top to bottom at the moment.
BotleySaint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Players seem depressed and off the pace at all levels.
Dangermouth Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 We play like robots, to Les' template no doubt. Most of the players aren't much kop either. Can't we just bin Gardos off? He's obviously nothing other than the waste of a space.
James Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Someone ought to tell Les that 4-2-3-1 isn't working.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 I see jaidi was in Tunisia today at some event so I assume Martin hunter in charge tonight. Explains alot ..... Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk

He's obviously nothing other than the waste of a space. Maybe Yoshi's hammy is bad and we actually decided we needed another centre-back handy.

washsaint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 There seems to be a general malaise around the whole club right now....really all season. Don't know what's gone wrong but things do not look good anywhere. Really, really poor from the club
Bad Wolf Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Pretty sure they showed Jaidi shouting from the sidelines earlier? Yep. Pretty sure I saw him.
Give it to Ron Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 ****** 1-4 disgrace how bad we have become Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Nordic Saint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Our defence is a shambles. Gardos and Targett aren't even good enough for U23 division 2 level. The one bright spot is Sam McQueen who looks good enough for Les Reed to sell to Liverpool one day. The U23s have now lost 2-4 to Wolves and 1-4 to Villa in successive games. Jaidi's vague instruction, shouted from the sideline, "Do something," just about sums up how poor the coaching is at the club nowadays.
derry Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Boy, was that depressing! Where was the possession game? just gave the ball away all over the pitch, no cohesion, teamwork or balance.

F*ck up your academy! : The Southampton Way. (Packages starting at £499 - Optional package including lunch with Ralph: £550)
Andy Durman Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Wow! Tremendous strength in depth. Absolutely buzzing after that pile of sh*t
beatlesaint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Wonder if the penny has dropped yet that the Academy’s Well has, for the moment, run dry ? We are in trouble from top to bottom.
Saint_clark Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Someone ought to tell Les that 4-2-3-1 isn't working. Someone ought to tell City, and United, and Arsenal, and and and... Nothing wrong with the formation. But the tactics the players follow and their mentalities to get into good positions? That's a problem.
angelman Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 The club is in rude health from top to bottom! Certainly seems that way.
yellow&blue Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 What did we expect at all levels when we are a small club?
angelman Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Remember when people used to rate Gardos? No.
beatlesaint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Remember when people used to rate Gardos? He had one half of a good game didn’t he when he came on as sub at Old Trafford ?
S-Clarke Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 He had one half of a good game didn’t he when he came on as sub at Old Trafford ? He was alright in the League Cup game at Arsenal too, but that's it.
supersonic Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 He was alright in the League Cup game at Arsenal too, but that's it. Never, ever rated him. Supposed International standard defender who can't kick a ball with both feet and ho has the turning circle of the moon.
Useful Idiot Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 To be fair to Gardos, I don't think he really recovered from his cruciate ligament injury. Before that he wasn't exactly quick, but these days he makes Per Mertersacker look like Eusain Bolt.
hackedoff Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 How much has been spent on that academy? Very little return for the money. Same problem running through the whole club,a lack of people with any footballing nous and owners without a plan or the ability to change it.
hypochondriac Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Basically got rid of all our good coaches for dome unknown reason and replaced them with others.
VectisSaint Posted 15 January, 2018 Posted 15 January, 2018 Have been saying this was happening for about 2 years now, but the happy clappers said everything was rosy. One area that does seem to be improving though is the u18s where things have started to look up since Danny Butterfield was appointed. Needs serious surgery at the top of the Academy.

One area that does seem to be improving though is the u18s where things have started to look up since Danny Butterfield was appointed. Needs serious surgery at the top of the Academy. I watch a lot of the u23 games whether online on at St Mary’s and the standard has been declining gradually, not just the standard of players but the entertainment of the games, we're poor to watch at every level at the moment. I also notice a big drop in the number of people that turn up for games at St Mary’s despite it being free compared to a few years ago when there was a real buzz around. When saints were banging on about our academy and the “we don’t buy success we breed it” it’s worth noting the youngsters making a name for themselves at the time like Ward-Prowse, Shaw and Chambers has all been with the club since the Lowe days and the current ownership had been lucky to inherit them. U18s are away to Blackpool in FA Youth cup 4th round tonight will be interesting to see how they get on.
