Marsdinho Posted 8 January, 2018 Share Posted 8 January, 2018 The delicious irony that Lovren joining Liverpool has effectively brought an end to his Liverpool career. His departure set in motion a series of events that has delivered perfect karma. Probably mentioned on here already...sorry!

Anyway Klopp will play Lovren and Van Dijk as likely as not.

Klopp has more of a thing for Matip, who is one of his own signings. I imagine he will be at best 3rd choice in the CB pecking order.
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 January, 2018 Share Posted 8 January, 2018 Would have thought him joining Liverpool would have started his Liverpool career... I think what he is getting at is the fact that his departure from Saints ultimately resulted in us signing VVD from Celtic and bringing him to the attention of Liverpool, who have now signed him as a replacement for Lovren. Nah! Reading too much into it. VVD wasn't a replacement for Lovren here.

Window Cleaner Posted 8 January, 2018 Share Posted 8 January, 2018 Nah! Reading too much into it. VVD wasn't a replacement for Lovren here. Toby replaced Lovren, Van Dijk replaced Toby. It's the way of football, continual renewal for the most part. I think modern footballers burn out more quickly than of yore, Probably due to starting younger, more injuries and playing more games. darren2 Posted 8 January, 2018 Share Posted 8 January, 2018 By the time his contract runs at Liverhampton he'll have been there 7 years, earning about 30 million. I'm so laughing at him.......

That's net of tax too, isn't it? (not that any of these buggers pays that much tax anyway)
Chickendippers Posted 8 January, 2018 Share Posted 8 January, 2018 Call me childish or small minded but when I post about Lovren or read his name anywhere, I always misspell or mispronounce his name as Lovern. It's my way of getting back at him for 'losing his head'
Chickendippers Posted 8 January, 2018 Share Posted 8 January, 2018 As in Laverne and Shirley - if it wasn't clear from my previous post. This is my worst post on Saintsweb - sorry It's worse than my song for Toby Aldeweireld - which involved chanting supermarket names.
