I was thinking about this - if we go in 1-1 at half time we're likely to win. However 1-0 up our natural habit under Mopo is to sit back which you simply can't do against Watford - eventually something will fall in the box.

I dunno, i think it'll be an exciting game and while i rate our players above Watford's the simple fact is they're a side willing to take risks and i can't see us being comfortable even if we're 2-0 up, 3-2 Watford win and Mopo's final game..

JWP and Davis in the same line-up. They are almost the same player, they don't complement each other, they collide in the pitch. How can he not see what every person does. MP is just too inept. Lemina in the bench again. Come on!

JWP is better than Davis, Davis has become a sub-standard championship player who needs to be released (at some point) i'd much rather Lemina but hey maybe he's still injured.

Redmond probably rested to shield him from the mong fans who would just boo him.

Truly incredible line up.

Never thought I’d say this but hope we get tonked 4 nil and then sack this frickin clueless idiot.

Your season of posts suggests different.

I think Leicester might win today, so you're in for a treat.

You aren’t exactly the master of predictions.

No goal threat there at all, dropping Boufal is ****ing nuts, he’s easily our most creative player - I would build the team around him not drop him.

Oh well, the negative cloud has long gone, the clown has no excuses now.

We need to rethink how we line up for these types of games - a more front footed midfield is needed. I'm f'cked off with this crappy defensive minded play. Put the f'ing pressure on to the other side.

---------------- McCarthy ------------------

-- Pied -- Stephens -- Hoedt -- Bertrand --

---------------- Romeu ------------------

---- Lemina ------------- Hojbjerg ---

--- Boufal --- Gabbi --- Tadic ---

Good. Gabbi needs time on the pitch. Giving him just five minutes against Fulham did neither him nor Saints any good. I'd like to see Long playing alongside him (perhaps bring Long on when Boufal begins tiring) to supply the speed and crosses that Gab requires. He is our only recognised striker but he needs the service. So play him MP, for heaven's sake.

They're really not you know . Ward prowse on the right provides crosses that Davis couldn't, and he gives us a specialist dead ball kicker. Davis is a runner, a different sort of player, and one who is going through a period of bad form. Change Boufal for

Davis during the game and we'd be close to the best side we can put out at the moment with no Austin available and Gabbiadini out of form.

Of cof course we ought to have signed a centre forward by now, but that's a different story.

Gabbiadini was superb as a single striker with Tadic, Redmond and JWP behind him when he arrived. He has the attributes, makes the runs, can finish.

We aren't creating chances and everyone is way off form.

Talking about individual player performance this season just takes the emphasis away from the actual problem.

He had a bit of a purple patch when he first arrived, sure...lots of new players often do. But his general play (as you've alluded to) is clearly geared towards running behind and box play....which is fine, and he's good at it, but my opinion would be that those attributes don't make for a solid lone striker. If you think those attributes do, fair enough, but a cursory glance at the league tends to suggest what sort of strikers thrive long term (freakishly good players like Aguero aside).

They're basically saying what we've been saying for weeks/months......everyone can see it
