Saint Albert Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Cedric starts hoedt back maya out. 2-0 win COYR. Promising.
Pamplemousse Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Im just hoping that Silva is as rubbish as the forum trolls said he is/was. As long as Puel finishes above him in the league table, my forum reputation will be intact.
Heisenberg Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 As long as Puel finishes above him in the league table, my forum reputation will be intact. Reputation?
St Chalet Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 We will start brightly, maybe even take the lead. At that point we will sit back and the more tactically astute opposition manager (there are 19 of these in the league) will change something and we’ll concede. Of course, it’s always possible he’ll outthink Pellegrino from the start.

Fans seem a bit tetchy in the pub near the ground. There will be some vitriol directed at MP.

The trick is to not score too early so the oppo manager doesn’t have time to effectively change things.
Saint Billy Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Knowing Perilgrino, saints will win badly today just to muddy the water a little bit more.
obelisk Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 If we score our first goal on 85 minutes, we’ll be OK.Nah! Far too early. Unless we manage to celebrate for 5 minutes and delay the restart.
LGTL Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 When will this absolute idiot ever learn? Prowse, Davis and Long. Jesus wept.
simo Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Looks like we're trying to keep it tight and go for it at the end ?
Pamplemousse Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Jesus Christ, WTF is that front four??!??? None of them are good enough to start. And yet we don’t need attacking reinforcements apparently.
wessex saint Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Wow. Same old same old. Absolutely NOTHING inspiring about that line up. * tiptoes away when we win 3 nil * Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Donatello Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Which front four would you play, out of curiousity?
Saints foreva Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Same old formation that hasn't worked so far....
Pamplemousse Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Why? Will that change all his decisions and results at Southampton in the past? Are Watford and Leicester directly comparable jobs with the same squads, set up and expectations? I thought it was obvious but that comment was a joke. Where Leicester finish is irrelevant to me.
DT Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Lemina and Boufal on bench. Jeez Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 More unnecessary chopping and changing, why drop Boufal? This side has little goal threat.
Lighthouse Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 What a drab, uninspiring team that is. 10 possession recyclers and Long running around like a chicken on crack.
DT Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Set up for nil nil. What a bag of old **** Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LGTL Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 He's actually worse then Branfoot. I never thought I'd be saying that.
Wade Garrett Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 I reckon he wants the sack and the pay-off. Ridiculous, are you happy with this Les and Ralph?
vectraman Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Get set for an afternoon with saints being bullied and harried all match. Like the home game, Watford big and pacy, Saints slow and small. U12’s v men again... I hope I’m wrong...
Didcot Saint Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 This manager is an absolute cretin. Davis and JWP in the same team, no Boufal, no Gabbi. Hopeless, clueless and a tactical clown. Another defeat looming.
beatlesaint Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 He’s ****ing dropped Boufal again. OK. thats because he is ****in clueless but I’m guessing you know that already. Boufal for Tadic or Davis surely ? still at least the penny has dropped about Redmond.....unless he’s injured of course
simo Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Which front four would you play, out of curiousity? I'd play a front 3 of Gabbi Boufal and Tadic with a 3 of Romeu Lemina and Hojberg behind them !
shurlock Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Assume Redmond is injured, not to even make the bench?
DT Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Assume Redmond is injured? Or sold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
James Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 We got bullied by Watford at home when we had Lemina on the bench and JWP and Davis in the same team so he does the same for the away trip. What a clown. Wake up Les and sack this goon.
DT Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 2-0 is 17-1 on Betfair for those at least seeking financial compensation from this shower of ****e. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Adkins' Bus Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Awful line-up. Davis and jwp in same team and 2 most talented players on bench. The only positive I can take from it is surely it means tadic on the left
Lord Duckhunter Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Lemina and Boufal on bench. Jeez Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Lemina has been awful lately, doesn’t deserve a start Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Saint Albert Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 I can sort of understand dropping Lemina to the bench if his injury issues are reducing his effectiveness. I’ve given up re. Long starting over Gabbiadini. The manager obviously does not rate Gabbiadini, and Long has been decent lately and always puts in a shift. He even scored a few games back. Defence looks good, I am interested to see if Stephens and Hoedt work well together. Interesting re Redmond but if it was a straight swap between him and Sims for a place on the bench, I’d rather see what Sims can do following his injury. Dropping Boufal is mind boggling.
Bad Wolf Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Long again?! He must be doing Pellegrino sexual favours.
striker Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 No Gabbi, Yoshida, Lemina, or Boufal. Yoshida is not even in the squad. Not that it matters really, but my starting lineu would have at least 5 different starters.
beatlesaint Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Lemina has been awful lately, doesn’t deserve a start Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk pretty much like Davis then
krissyboy31 Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Not saying I disagree with him being dropped but Watford are the one team Redmond scores against.
Donatello Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 I'd play a front 3 of Gabbi Boufal and Tadic with a 3 of Romeu Lemina and Hojberg behind them ! Fair enough, looks good on paper....but I personally don't think Gabbi works well as a single striker (when the qualities of the rest of the team are factored in), so if we're insisting on this formation, it's Long, Boufal and Tadic for me (with Davis behind - although there's evidence to suggest Hojberg *could* play there). I'm guessing Lemina is still carrying that ankle injury though, and that the midfield three is determined by that at present. P.S Yes, I would prefer if Long wasn't leading the line Interesting about Redmond....I wonder if it's an attitude problem....?
Greedyfly Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 None of them are good enough to start. And yet we don’t need attacking reinforcements apparently. Who the **** said that? Please tell me you're quoting someone on here and not someone actually involved with the club!
Pamplemousse Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Who the **** said that? Please tell me you're quoting someone on here and not someone actually involved with the club! People on here, plus I saw someone on twitter today too, trying to say how excellent our attacking options are...
StrangelyBrown Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 With that line up I can only believe the clown wants a pay off more than a job Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Pamplemousse Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Your season of posts suggests different. I think Leicester might win today, so you're in for a treat. I know that you, SKD and Heisenberg will bite. But there’s only so much enjoyment one can have.
Wrensup Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 So judging by that line up we’re trying for an 0-0. Not that, that’s anything new! Boufal - Gabbiadini - Sims Or Tadic - Long - JWP Doesn’t take a genius does it?
Simon3737 Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 Looks like Pellegrino is setting up to avoid a big defeat. Keep the defeat down to 1-0 or 2-0 goals, maybe scrape a 2-1 defeat if we get lucky. It’s certainly an original approach to management!
Leo_ARG Posted 13 January, 2018 Posted 13 January, 2018 JWP and Davis in the same line-up. They are almost the same player, they don't complement each other, they collide in the pitch. How can he not see what every person does. MP is just too inept. Lemina in the bench again. Come on!
