-Fulham will be hosting Southampton in the FA Cup for the first time since a third-round replay in January 1999, when Barry Hayles scored a 85th minute winner at Craven Cottage.

-The Cottagers have lost three of their last four FA Cup games at home against opposition from a higher division, although they picked up a 4-1 win against Hull City in the fourth round last season.

-Southampton have progressed past lower league opponents in 17 of their last 18 FA Cup ties, although the last two occasions have seen the Saints taken to a replay.

So far from being the club that gives young talent a chance, we're now the club that packs the midfield and tries to sneak a 0-0 or 1-0 at a side in the league below.

 

Even if we were weren't looking at relegation, the complete fear to play football is fcking embarrassing.

 

IMO there's nothing wrong with winning games like that if it works. Which, for us, it clearly doesn't.

I imagine we might play something like that, although I can see MP pushing Romeu deeper and possibly moving Boufal into a LWB role as he did perviously to make sure Bertrand can tuck in nice and tight and form a solid back six.

 

MP's tactics will probably be to sit and hold for the 0-0 and hope to being them back to ours so we can repeat the tactic and hope for pens.
