Jonnyboy Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Amazing how good a goal at home can feel. I'm even chuckling at Pied's funny little face-down running with the ball.
Saint Billy Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 I'll be back in a min, just having a street party to celebrate Long's goal!.
SuperSAINT Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 He may have picked up a knock. Hope he’s OK... No options on bench (!)
Edmonton Saint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Pied in trouble. JWP to right back and Lemina on?
OttawaSaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Did anyone else have a delayed reaction to Long’s goal? Omg yes! That’s in right, yessss!!!
5string Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Pitch looks a bit iffy. Has it been used for something since the last game? Or... has it been set up to be more energy-sapping because Palace are on a tough run...? Hmmm...
Edmonton Saint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Pied in trouble. JWP to right back and Lemina on? Nope Bednarek, to cb i presume, with Stephens to rb
Saint Albert Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Pied is down now. If Pied goes off I’m assuming Bednarek will come on and Stephens will move to RB Pied back on now.
Jonnyboy Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Amazing how good a goal at home can feel. I'm even chuckling at Pied's funny little face-down running with the ball. I'm not chuckling now
SKD Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Pied is down now. If Pied goes off I’m assuming Bednarek will come on and Stephens will move to RB Pied back on now. I’d bring MT on and shift Stephens to RB and Bertrand to CB.... hopefully Pied is okay, we are going to need him in the coming weeks.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 I’d bring MT on and shift Stephens to RB and Bertrand to CB.... hopefully Pied is okay, we are going to need him in the coming weeks. Any news on Cedric?
5string Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 How many times has Boufal got to be fouled before ref blows his whistle?! Not even advantage given. We need goals here tonight.
BotleySaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 How many times has Boufal got to be fouled before ref blows his whistle?! Not even advantage given. We need goals here tonight. Indeed. Ref was ridiculous there. Got dragged down twice but nothing given.
Pamplemousse Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Thanks Man City for wearing them down for us
Heisenberg Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 I wonder if the pitch is a sneaky ploy? Palace played just 2 days ago and were chasing shadows for most of the 90. Any energy they do have left could be tested by the patchy pitch. Grass also looks longer promoting a slower paced passing game
Micky Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Thanks Man City for wearing them down for us Man city who are already two nil up against Watford after only 20 mins. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
Manuel Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 I reckon they're growing some new prodigies in those furrows.
Ohio Saint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Man city who are already two nil up against Watford after only 20 mins. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk So we are beating City now? Awesome!
OttawaSaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Bit too slow and sloppy. Getting in good positions but in this conditions we been to be thinking about lacing it rather than deft flicks and touches.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Man city who are already two nil up against Watford after only 20 mins. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk Surely not
Heisenberg Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Starting to sit too deep and conceed possession too easy.
OttawaSaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 End product lacking, had JWP been quicker with a pass lomg was clean in.
5string Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 JWP needed to be more forceful there, poke a toe in or something. Good defending Stephens.
OttawaSaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Dwayne Dibley and Romeu getting a taliking to.
Monk Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 How have I never noticed the Zaha’s resemblance of Dwayne Dibley from Red Dwarf!!
Ultimatt Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Romeu getting into Zaha's head. Good stuff. Possibly coached?
BotleySaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 For all our possession. Very little threat on their goal.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Dwayne Dibley and Romeu getting a taliking to.
OttawaSaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Jesus Bertrand. Slooooooow and then all the sky back to MacC.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Jesus Bertrand. Slooooooow and then all the sky back to MacC. Zero options forward for him
CB Fry Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Sloppy at times. Thankfully Palace not much kop either.
Pamplemousse Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Deserve to be winning. Would be nice to push on and get a second.
Ohio Saint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Dwayne Dibley and Romeu getting a taliking to. Someone really should tell him
adrian lord Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Just got in to the good news of it being 1-0 so far. COYS!
5string Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 We were all over them early on, but a few mistakes have let them regain some possession & territory. I still think we're worth at least a couple of more goals. HT 1-0
Saints foreva Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Sloppy performance, don't think the pitch is helping. Good that we're winning though. Hopefully get an early goal in the second half.
Saint Albert Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 1-0 at the half. Saints clearly the better side. Palace a little passive. I don’t know what happened to Hoj after last season but he looks like a fantastic player to me.
Manuel Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 I like Pied, so much energy but he seems a little hot-headed and prone to error.
obelisk Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Started well and got a deserved goal. Since then Saints have got more sloppy and producing very little in attack. Palace actually look more likely to score now. Story of the season relly.
sussexsaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 Anyone got a stream that works on iOS for preference, can’t find any

Palace actually look more likely to score now. Story of the season relly. Hopefully we don't revert to type .. or we'll be looking at 1-1 FT again.
austsaint Posted 2 January, 2018 Posted 2 January, 2018 1-0 at the half. Saints clearly the better side. Palace a little passive. I don’t know what happened to Hoj after last season but he looks like a fantastic player to me. Hojbjerg is superb tonight - he's the player we thought we were getting with Clasie. Romeu has also been at his top tonight. Well done Shane Long for that finish. One goal is clearly not enough, and since the injury to Pied we don't have that attacking width down the right - width and run is going to win this game. JWP is congesting play and slowing things down by coming infield - I'd bring Lemina on for Ward-Prowse and play him in the same "wing back" position while at the same time negating the danger of Zaha's run. The fear is conceding if we don't get the second but we are such good value for the lead.
