washsaint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 If Forster is dropped it just shows the hopeless p**k that is Pellegrino. Forster has not been as bad as people make out - while not outstanding, any time he lets a goal in we lose due to our deficiencies in every other area of the pitch. No doubt the clown will play a 10-1 formation with Long up front and no-one within 40 yards of him....then Long will make a break and trip over his own feet. We really are utter s**e and don't see anything improving until the clown is sacked - and it may already be too late for our season anyways.
vivasadio Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Before Spurs I think Forster was playing a lot better than he had been, not really the right time to drop him even though I do want him replaced

Forster has been nothing short of horrific this season and lost us a number of points. To be honest, if he is dropped my first thought is to why this didn’t happen weeks ago?

To be honest, if he is dropped my first thought is to why this didn’t happen weeks ago? Exactly this. Even in the past two games he should have absolute minimum come 4 yards off his line for both the Huddersfield goal and Spurs opener at Wembley. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Any lineup news. I expect to be like Blackadder when Wellington states that Nelson is in Alaska.
captain sensible Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 I have expectations of Yoshida and Stephens...I expect Zlatan and Lukaku to be snuffed out uncompromisingly at every opportunity in any aerial duel. Nothing less will do.

Nothing less will do. With the spectre of VVD finally lifted they will absolutely beast those puny forwards. JWP will be picking the corners with 35 yard swerving free kicks. Long will judge the offside trap perfectly time and time again and Tadic and Redmond will be skinning fullbacks and whipping in perfect crosses to the forwards and supporting midfielders in the box.

Pamplemousse Posted 30 December, 2017 Author Posted 30 December, 2017 Forster should’ve been dropped many games ago.
Badger Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 The answer is the low quality of back up. Forster is ten times better than McCarthy, and I think Forster is rubbish. It's obviously time for McCarthy to live up to the expectation of his early career then and prove you wrong. Especially as he's been under the expert coaching of Dave Watson for the last 18 months. That is assuming McCarthy has been selected. You never know it may be Taylor between the sticks.
Mr X Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Always want us to win but in this case I can only Hope we don't turn up & the defeat is heavy enough to force a change! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Mr X Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 You know it’ll be some middling 1-0 or 2-1 late defeat...Or a narrow one nil win with the club saying this proves he can turn things around..... & We stick with him for the rest of the season & get relegated Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Fraser has been an utter liability and cost us so many points. I'd go as far as saying a new keeper is preferable to a new manager
Crab Lungs Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 I bet you McCarthy will prove to be far more solid than Forster simply because he can do the basics quite well. Forster has and always will be absolutely awful

We will lose with him between the sticks anyway so lets drop him finally and have a look at McCarthy
Saint Albert Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Does anyone want to take a stab at explaining today’s lineup? I’ve given up.
Saint Albert Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 It’s here by the way, with Long starting ahead of Gabbiadini again... https://mobile.twitter.com/SouthamptonFC/status/947142739052900352
Dusic Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Gabbi must be so ****ed off. How can you pick Long ahead of him?
Saint Albert Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 YES!!!!!! FRASER DROPPED That’s only a good idea if we have a decent replacement.
davefoggy Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 How on earth does Long keep his place????? Utter utter madness
washsaint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 What a completely uninspiring lineup.......and how the f**k does Long keep starting. He would miss a barn door from 2 yards out. Shows what a gash squad we actually have.
Pilchards Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Dropping Forster is surely the time to look for a new keeper in January?

Fitzhugh Fella Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Didn’t Targett play well at Spurs? Is he injured today or is this another strange Pellegrino decision?
Badger Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Lamina on the bench which seems a strange selection unless he's nursing an injury. And Bednarek on the bench.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Looks like it's long to be slagged off before a ball is kicked now that FF and NR are subs Redmond can come on later and get booed by cretins
Saint Albert Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 It looks like a back four again? I don’t like Stephens playing out of position at RB. I’ll be very interested to see McQueen at LB. Long ahead of Gabbiadini boggles the mind. Perhaps resting him for the relegation 6 pointer at home to Palace?
saintwbu Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Targett, having actually played well the last two games, is dropped for McQueen, a make shift left back who hasn’t started a game all season. It’s all good fun.
Wimborne_saint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Long must have dirt on Pellegrino, there's no other explanation.
OttawaSaint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Crumbs. Hope this works. Long to end his goal drought. Would prefer Gabbi up top.
Saints foreva Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Looks like it's long to be slagged off before a ball is kicked now that FF and NR are subs Redmond can come on later and get booed by cretins He is pretty **** though tbf....
OttawaSaint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 This will be an interesting game to watch. Many possibilities.
markr27 Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Targett went off with a knock on Tuesday, or whenever it was. Might explain the McQueenism.
Shanghai Saint Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Looks like it's long to be slagged off before a ball is kicked now that FF and NR are subs Redmond can come on later and get booed by cretins This ...
lloydie Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 When did non Man Utd & non Man City fans start blindly calling them 'United' & 'City'? Does my head in. Man Utd 1 Saints 3. They ain't that good. We ain't that bad. Fûck me your second paragraph is bat shít crazy.

How did that turn out? Think you need a break mate as you have been having a shocking few months on here.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 He is pretty **** though tbf.... He's been no worse than others but not great but to boo your own player is the work of knob heads
SaintRobbie Posted 30 December, 2017 Posted 30 December, 2017 Can’t complain with the managers team selection - Forster, Redmond and Lemina drooped - all have been awful lately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
