As you may know ITV Meridian are merging the two Meridian regios (South and East) with the Thames Valley news service in to one less than local region to save cash.

 

Fred "Skate" Dinenage has predictably survived the cull to head up the show for the whole of the mega-region.

I'd come home from school and shortly after, How? would be on. Fred would do the jokey How's and Bunty would do the girly ones. Jon would do the techy ones, and Jack would do the historic ones. Not at all. There's no doubt his smugness has reached rarified heights, nowadays. I reckon it's due to his complete contentment that despite totally lacking any semblance of talent, he has managed to carve out a career giving him a lifestyle few of us could aspire to.
