manji Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Big Board meeting happening now. Best I can do I’m afraid.
iansums Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 They must have read Instant Classics’ letter.
SaintMB Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Fingers crossed they make a move. I'm pretty sure we can't do worse in the second half of the season than keeping MoPe in place. He's totally lost the plot with the team setup.
Bad Wolf Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 They must have read Instant Classics’ letter. Tbf if it's "something big" I would hope it's more than that. I assume sacking MP is now a given.
Dalek2003 Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Probably collecting the VVD cheque off...
Winnersaint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 cheque off... He was in Star Trek wasn't he?
Dalek2003 Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 He was in Star Trek wasn't he? Yes. And we have plenty of Klingons on the starboard bow !
Dazza82 Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Judging on how animated Pellegrino was in the 2nd half, more than he has since he has been here, I reckon he was told he needed to win that game no excuses! Which makes his team selection very strange. I just hope the club have someone lined up Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Heisenberg Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 This is southampton fc. It will be a meeting about a meeting
Forester Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Were the Chinese owners there again? No they weren’t, but they did see the Leicester debacle
Saint Albert Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 My expectation is that the will fire Pellegrino. My hope is that they have already someone signed up and he is ready to go.

At home, there's less need to set up defensively against a side like Huddersfield. Davis and Lemina are a bit more forward looking than Romeu and PEH. Playing them gave us a bit more threat from CM without sacrificing our shape. Of course, one could quibble whether MP should have just started the best players at his disposal, regardless of the opponent or have been bolder by playing a second striker. But there was a clear rationale to MP's team selection.
CB Fry Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 (edited) I imagine Les is going through, at length, all the information we have on the multiple candidates we have for our impending managerial vacancy. After all, we have tracking and monitoring them all for three or four years. Edited 23 December, 2017 by CB Fry

Currently going through this list with a fine toothcomb I'd imagine https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik
Saint IQ Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 He's go tot be gone. We've won 1 in 10 against poorest side in the league at the time. Scraped the other 3 wins against really poor sides and failed to beat many poor sides at home. Worse than Puel. A lot worse.
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 They're just dishing out their secret santas.
SKD Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 They must have read Instant Classics’ letter.

Of course, one could quibble whether MP should have just started the best players at his disposal, regardless of the opponent or have been bolder by playing a second striker. But there was a clear rationale to MP's team selection. Except it wasn't working. The central midfield had big holes that any half decent manager would have noticed and plugged. It was crying out for Hoj to add his skills and Redmond to be swapped for Boufal because we needed to press home our advantage and take the game away. But once again MP couldn't see that and doesn't have the balls to put the game out of reach. Rather, he resorts to caution and we end up conceding again. It's pathetic really. It was so blindingly obvious to most of the stadium but not the one that matters. We needed three points here as you don't get anything for narrow losses against the big teams. MP seems to think you do. He has to go - and should have gone four weeks ago really. We're dicing with death even more now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We are not in three competitions we are in one! Play your strongest team and stop pretending you know what you doing Pellegrino... All the evidence tells us his theories do not work both in results and in the lack of structures organisation of play. What I saw players doing today alone was a sackable offence by the Manager. A clown...

Dr. Kucho Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Could you say more about your source Manji? Member of staff, highly placed, well informed ITK etc. Calling all ITK’s to the thread for a Saintsweb board meeting and fresh updates..
Saint in Paradise Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Don't panic people ... they are only deciding on the final menu for the New Year party and whether to allow the players some extra time off training over Christmas.
LeBizzier69 Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Kam's Palace it is for the management team NYE bash.
Delmary Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Sky sources saying he’s gone! I hope you’re right
DT Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Very much hope so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
shurlock Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 (edited) Sky sources saying he’s gone! As you're a few chicken nuggets short of a Happy Meal, I suspect you're being whoooshed. Sure you're not reading a fake twitter account or something? Edited 23 December, 2017 by shurlock
Toomer Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Sky sources saying he’s gone! Nothing on the info bar.

CB Fry Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 BBC just posted tweet saying REED & Kruger offering backingYou sure thats not the one of Pellegrino saying that he has their backing in the post-match interview? That's not quite the same thing.
View From The Top Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Scheduled meeting. let's hope they still sack the clueless tw_at though.
RedWillie Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 The tweet is MP interview, he says he has a good relationship with the board but it's nothing from them at all. It is definitely not a backing or public vote of confidence from them.
LGTL Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Why the **** is he still here? Should have been gone before the Everton game FFS.
