DT Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 I will be very disappointed if I have to watch Redmond today. We’re a far better team without him Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
hypochondriac Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Such a huge game today. Similar importance to the Everton game where we came out on top. If we lose in a similar manner to many games this year then we really have to question the manager continuing. Win and we will be a lot more comfortable. Probably a draw then
beatlesaint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Without Cedric and Bertrand our line up looks bloody average. add to that a half arsed VVD and a not fully fit Lemina and we really are.

fanimal Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 So wich 3 from many will he perm to play behind Charlie today?
Viking Saint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Without the pace of Cedric and Bertrand it’s a given he will play Seems its almost a given that he plays, regardless. Is he approaching Jermaine Wright status?!
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 He has featured in every game except one (Everton H), only Bertrand has played more minutes. He seems to have cast a spell over Reed/Pellegrino
Pamplemousse Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 I’m hoping for a fast paced start where we blitz them in the first fifteen minutes and score at least two goals. The Northam goes wild and their intense support for the remainder of the match spurs the team on to a famous thrashing. Is that too much to ask for?

Dalek2003 Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Any sort of win will do, but of course a win in style will help boost morale which is sorely needed.
Pamplemousse Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Have you cracked open all of your Christmas booze already this morning? It is the time of Christmas miracles...
davefoggy Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 I don't believe anyone picking McCarthy has actually seen him play. This 'must be better than Forster' thing is a ridiculous assumption. Forster is limited, he's horribly slow to move around his goal and that's why Chelsea free kick would have been saved by most premier league keepers. But Forster remains capable of keeping clean sheets now and again. He's in the bottom 5 for premier league starters definitely, but McCarthy is several levels below. Awful signing. It staggers me how the club have allowed this situation to happen. If McCarthy isn't good enough to replace a clearly out of sorts Forster, what the hell is he doing here? What would happen if Forster had an injury? McCarthy would play then, so give him a go now. I can't imagine he is going to cost us as many points as Forster has this season

I can't imagine he is going to cost us as many points as Forster has this seasonWe haven't really had good enough backup since we got promoted. It's bizarre really. Forster isn't great in the first place but if he gets a long term injury the we don't have someone like Stephens in that position who could step up and save us like he did last year at cb.
5string Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Without Cedric and Bertrand our line up looks bloody average. They make a difference, don't they? Especially Bertrand (when he's not sulking). Don't we have any youngsters who are fullbacks? Pied? Targett? McQueen? Could even PEH slot in?
hypochondriac Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 He has featured in every game except one (Everton H), only Bertrand has played more minutes. He seems to have cast a spell over Reed/PellegrinoI'm guessing the fact he is young and English has a lot to do with it. It looks good for the club if we can get players like that performing well so I expect that's why he gets a lot more chances than others.
SFC-TID! Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Don’t know but there’s a reason he isn’t playing and it’s not that the other CBS are better
Pamplemousse Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Adam Blackmore said on twitter he’s at the stadium but with his family
OttawaSaint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 I wonder if we have some sort of agreement ready with another team to sign so we are not allowed to play him in case he gets injured.
Pamplemousse Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Pellegrino said that he only wanted fully committed players playing for us. Nobody can say that VVD has played with 100% commitment this season. So let’s take the money and move on.
Dazza82 Posted 23 December, 2017 Author Posted 23 December, 2017 I wonder if we have some sort of agreement ready with another team to sign so we are not allowed to play him in case he gets injured.Looks that way, probably man city if u ask me Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Saint Albert Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Boufal is on the bench. Redmond starts. No Pied at all. And no VVD. He’s not even on the bench.
LeBenali Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Already effectively starting 1-0 down with Davis, JWP and Redmond Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
James Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Bonkers selection yet again. No Hoj and Romeu makes no sense at all.
nta786 Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 im guessing a 4231 forster stephens hoedt yoshida targett davis lemina jwp tadic redmond austin
Pamplemousse Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Has he lost the plot???! Redmond somehow starts. No Romeu or Hojbjerg, probably our best midfield pairing at the moment. So let’s play Davis who is badly out of form and unfit Lemina. I don’t get it. I really don’t get it.
Saint Albert Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Both Hoj and Romeu on the bench. I think that Pellegrino has been into the Christmas tipple a little early.
InvictaSaint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 MP must be saving them for when we really go at Spurs on boxi.....oh yeah.

washsaint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 What an absolute tool.......no Hoj, no Romeu and no pace. This manager is a dud.....Tadic but no Boufal He is so clueless he needs to go now. ABsolute f****** joke

ABsolute f****** joke If we lose today then hopefully he is gone. A draw the worst result here as it’ll prolong the slow death under this idiot manager.
Useful Idiot Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Great. Looking forward to watching another masterclass of sideways or backwards passing combined with non-tackling by the most underrated player in football history, Steve Davis.

Saint Albert Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Poor PEH. He must be wondering what he has to do to get a start. It’s a confusing team selection. Davis and Redmond out of form. Pied a natural replacement for Cedric. Boufal keeping them company.
James Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Said and thought that for the last 5-10 games. No idea what the 'has to be sacked now' moment is anymore, relegation? Completely agree but surely a loss against a team so poor away from home will be the straw that breaks the camels back? You never know with bumbling Les though - he won’t want to admit he’s made another dud appointment.
Pamplemousse Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 I know people didn’t like Puel’s rotation but at least there was some logic behind it. There’s no logic to this at all. The only thing I agree with is starting Austin. Definitely play Gabbiadini at Wembley.

The only thing I agree with is starting Austin. Definitely play Gabbiadini at Wembley. I was no fan of Puel but he looks like Mourinho compared to Pellegrino. Reminds me of Burley when he lost the plot, endless changes and players out of position. For a man that was praised so widely for his diligence when we appointed him (Balague) there is absolutely no logic in these decisions or selections. You just can’t predict who is going to play. His treatment of Hojberg (who has been our best player when he has played) is absolutely baffling as is his constant selection of Tadic. Can only assume he thinks a “rotation” selection will be good enough and that our best team might get something against Spurs. The reality is this team is not necessarily good enough to beat Hudds and we’ll lose to Spurs no matter who we pick. Just risking points really.

Spoonman Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Bizarre..whatever about van dijk, but that midfield?? Play the players in form FFS.
stknowle Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Wait to see how it all pans out I guess but my overriding reaction to that team is
wessex saint Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 The up side is I can't make it today as have to work. Only missed West Ham and Everton home games so far so I fully expect us to spank them by 4 at least, despite the continued bewildering team selection.

Saint Billy Posted 23 December, 2017 Posted 23 December, 2017 Wow just wow at that selection, words fail me.
