whelk Posted 8 December, 2017 Share Posted 8 December, 2017 Next PL TV package will have 200 (of 380) games on tv So more than half. Currently 168. Will also introduce 745 pm on Saturday which will be ok with me. Personally think should have more Friday evening games too but in the minority there. Anyway the much loved Sat 3pm is going to become even rarer unless we get relegated of course. Premier League: Saturday night games among 200 on TV from 2019-20http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42278119

Hasnt someone on here claimed to be ITK in that BT will NOT be continuing their course of paying to broadcast PL matches???

Bubble is not bursting just yet!
The9 Posted 8 December, 2017 Share Posted 8 December, 2017 There are only 32 more non Saturday 3pm kick offs in the entire package. 20 of those matches are midweek and shown simultaneously on two different midweek dates, so no change to kick off times and 18 matches you can't watch because you're already at a Saints match. That leaves 12 more games, or under 1 per Premier League team. Really not much to be bothered about - if there's a problem it was the last tv deal which massively ramped up the number of live games, and I don't see many people complaining about the extra £150m the club gets as a result. 1576 Posted 8 December, 2017 Share Posted 8 December, 2017 Said to my mates earlier I want one more Euro adventure then the Prem can go **** itself. Tired of it all now.
aintforever Posted 8 December, 2017 Share Posted 8 December, 2017 I don't see many people complaining about the extra £150m the club gets as a result. Not going to make any difference though is it? All the other teams get more money as well, just means the players and their agents will earn more.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 8 December, 2017 Share Posted 8 December, 2017 No chance of the bubble bursting. The next big step will be streaming of every game. It’ll bring Netflix,Amazon and the like into the bidding , even opening up the possibility of the teams setting up their own streaming service. If punters want some games to be streamed at 3pm Saturday it’ll happen and they’ll **** the lower leagues. darren2 Posted 9 December, 2017 Share Posted 9 December, 2017 As already said, the only ones to benefit will be players and agents. Well see more of the behaviour of VVD as the gap between "have" and "have not" increases and clubs will risk more to stay in the prem, and go pop more if they drop out
Wade Garrett Posted 9 December, 2017 Share Posted 9 December, 2017 I'm a gnats fart away from chucking Sky in anyway because of the cost. It's only the sport that keeps me subscribing. No way will I pay more than the £118.99 I already pay them every month. I also don't pay-per-view anything any more. Hopefully the likes of Netflix and Facebook will be more attracted to the international rights than the domestic ones. Disposable income hasn't really gone up since 2008. There is a limit to what people will pay, it can't be far away.
