striker Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Anyone else following this? England did ok, they got Belgium but not much else (Tunisia and Panama). Russia has the easiest (surprise surprise). Also Spain and Portugal in the same group. No real Group of Death this go round.
disconnect Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Great draw for England, couldnt have asked for much better. Belgium are a good team and I think that'll be a good match, but we should be beating Tunisia and Panama...! How many Saints are going to go? Not many I'm guessing. I think the only ones almost guaranteed (if fit) are: Yoshida Bertrand Cedric I'm guessing we may have a few more for England with Forster possible as third choice (unlikely on current standings), and we could have a wildcard with Ward-Prowse and Redmond both having been in the squad but neither playing much or particularly well at the moment. Austin will need a lot of goals to go.
striker Posted 1 December, 2017 Author Posted 1 December, 2017 Also like the playoff stage schedule. the group G winner and runner up plays Group H, which has Senegal, Poland, Japan, and Colombia.
trousers Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Also like the playoff stage schedule. the group G winner and runner up plays Group H, which has Senegal, Poland, Japan, and Colombia. And the Group G runners up (aka England) then meet Germany in the QF....
Saint Billy Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Relatively easy group for England, poor enough for us to feck it up again.
Wade Garrett Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 We'll win it. We have a golden generation of players, the best centre-forward in the world and Gareth Southgate. Hopefully he'll get Stuart Pearce and Terry Butcher involved to fire them all up.

Pamplemousse Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Great fixtures from the viewer's perspective. Midweek in the evening and Sunday lunchtime, so most people working the standard 9-5 won't miss our matches
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Beaten by Belgium 3 nil 1-1 Draw with Tunisia 1- 0 Win against Panama Looking forward to it....................
Leo_ARG Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Don't think Tunisia is as easy as you are saying but I gess it shows you are confident on your team. Myself, I'm pretty scared of Croatia, Iceland and Nigeria. But again, it shows how bad Argentina has been playing.
striker Posted 1 December, 2017 Author Posted 1 December, 2017 Beaten by Belgium 3 nil 1-1 Draw with Tunisia 1- 0 Win against Panama Looking forward to it.................... LOL. Thats the spirit (and sounds about right too). Then on to the playoffs!
Dark Munster Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 The Belgians really have the proverbial "golden generation". 17 of them play in the PL! Almost as many as English players.
Dark Munster Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Out in the quarter finals again If it's on penalties against Germany I will definitely throw something large and heavy through my TV screen.
LGTL Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Who's thinking of going out there? Will be in Kaliningrad for the Belgium game, logistics for the other 2 slightly more difficult
SNSUN Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Who's thinking of going out there? Will be in Kaliningrad for the Belgium game, logistics for the other 2 slightly more difficult This is the first World Cup I've had off in years... unfortunately if the due date is correct, I'll have a screaming 2 week old baby (our first) to take care of by England's first game.
Ultimatt Posted 1 December, 2017 Posted 1 December, 2017 Did the Random Selection draw as I prefer to plan a route/cities rather than follow a specific team. Got France v Australia Poland v Senegal Portugal v Morocco Argentina v Nigeria Pretty happy. The African teams love their end-to-end football.
niceandfriendly Posted 2 December, 2017 Posted 2 December, 2017 We'll lose to Belgium, beat Tunisia 1-0 and draw 0-0 with Panama. The bookies have already started paying out on that, it's so set in stone.
skintsaint Posted 2 December, 2017 Posted 2 December, 2017 Will qualify with 7 points. After that it doesn't look too great.
