St Chalet Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Great performance. Great comeback. Did enough to see that out but for a good finish / suspect extra time.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 96 Fu kin mins played when only 5 mins added
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Mp got it right. Credit to him. Absolutely gutted that we didn't get a point though.
SuperSAINT Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Well, 3 at the back has come a long way since getting trounced by Wolves reserves earlier this season. Unlucky Saints.
simo Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Heart breaking for the lads to put in that performance to lose with the last kick , time to really get behind the team and manager !
Dazza82 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 96 Fu kin mins played when only 5 mins addedScored at the start of 95 though Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
BotleySaint Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Cheated out of it as usual by the mysterious extra time afforded to the richer clubs.
Pamplemousse Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 To be disappointed at losing at Man City in the last minute of stoppage time is a positive
Manuel Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Conned. 6th minute ET goal??????????? Premier League disgrace
doddisalegend Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 So close can't fault the boys for their effort this City side have put some teams to the sword but we competed and gave a good account of themselves.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Heart breaking for the lads to put in that performance to lose with the last kick , time to really get behind the team and manager ! This in spades
trousers Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 FFS... We deserved a point there. Goal came 5 seconds after the 5 minutes added time. Why do refs wait for a move to break down before blowing up. Gutted. I might go into a dark room and have a little cry Well played Pellegrino.
Colinjb Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Did not expect to feel aggrieved after losing tonight. That is a very weird positive to take.
Wes Tender Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 We were robbed. We put in a heroic shift. Had we taken Redmond off instead of Long, Long would have been onto those balls upfield to put pressure on their keeper.
Noodles34 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Some rubbish defense at the end everyone goes for the ball but know-one stays on sterling
Dazza82 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Mp got it right. Credit to him. Absolutely gutted that we didn't get a point though.Got Austin sub wrong though. If he was gonna change it put Gabbiadini on for mobility up front Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Sheaf Saint Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Absolutely sickening. The lads played really well tonight to keep Man City at bay and fully deserved a draw. Can't fault the quality of the finish from Sterling and Forster (who actually had a decent game tonight) couldn't do anything about it. But 6 mins added time? Really? Cedric was down for maybe a minute at most, so where the hell did that come from? It's like a sucker punch.
Mr Dad Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Yeah. The big teams always get the advantage over that kind of thing. Refs think 'lets not upset the big teams'. A shame but a better result than I expected
5string Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 On BBC website: "Pep v Redmond Manchester City 2-1 Southampton Pep Guardiola is tearing into Nathan Redmond as the Southampton winger comes off. Not sure what that's all about!" Any ideas?
davefoggy Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Robbed. Gutted. I take all back what I said before the game. Manager got it spot on (apart from Redmond) Good performance. Now lets smash Boscombe
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 We were robbed. We put in a heroic shift. Had we taken Redmond off instead of Long, Long would have been onto those balls upfield to put pressure on their keeper. Yeah my only criticism of the tactics would be that when Long went off we really lost something defensively and in his hold up play.
Jonnyboy Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Media not even mentioning the extra time. Pr*cks.
verlaine1979 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Very good effort. Redmond should never start for that team again. Boufal deserves to start every game. Austin looked knackered the minute he came on. Hoj didn't disgrace himself against much better opposition, but Lemina was superb as always. There's a team starting to form, but it needs the slow-witted and slow-limbed deadwood to be set aside permanently.
James Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 **** off Pep, **** off Sterling, **** off ref. Well played Saints.
scotty Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Big club syndrome strikes again. You really do have to wonder where these added minutes come from, they're never added when the top 4 club needs them not to be added, and always added when they need the extra time.
davefizzy14 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 So close to a cracking point. Robbed by the officials. Gutted for the lads.
Jarakka Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Not even mad, expecting something against Bournemouth though.
badgerx16 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 'Big' team allowed to play beyond the end of added time, until they score, and then time is immediately up. Is Guardiola the new Ferguson ? Thought FF had a good game, certainly his best so far this season.
Noodles34 Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 The 2 opportunities we had though, really it should have ended 3-2 to us both taken and messed up by defenders
Wes Tender Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 FFS... We deserved a point there. Goal came 5 seconds after the 5 minutes added time. Why do refs wait for a move to break down before blowing up. Gutted. I might go into a dark room and have a little cry Well played Pellegrino. The ref allowed the game to kick off again after the goal, just to make it look as if there was even some more extra time. Somebody needs to buy him a new watch for Christmas. What is it with Manchester clubs and extra time?
Minsk Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Didn't deserve to lose that. Not sure where the 5 minutes came from. A much, much, better performance. Now hoping the players to take out their frustration against Bournemouth on Sunday!!
5string Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Great performance. Great comeback. Did enough to see that out but for a good finish / suspect extra time. I agree with all of this.
Disco Stu Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Guys, it has always been 'minimum of x minutes'. We were winding down the clock, so it's always a possibility the ref will add time.
Shroppie Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Gutted. Team set up to do a job, and did it. Robbed by the ref. But great performance. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
oldsaint Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 great performance but why take Long off it allowed their defenders to come forward i am behind the team but until we can kill a game i still have doubts abouts this manager
St Chalet Posted 29 November, 2017 Author Posted 29 November, 2017 Hopefully Redmond gets a three game ban.
Saints foreva Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Seriously where did those five minutes come from? An absolute ****ing joke. Unlucky lads. Only real player that didn't put in a shift was Redmond.
Portugalsaint Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 96 Fu kin mins played when only 5 mins added We was robbed, they were crap and Guadiana knew it, he was prancing around having temper tantrums cos he knew they were crap.
B Rabbit Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 On BBC website: "Pep v Redmond Manchester City 2-1 Southampton Pep Guardiola is tearing into Nathan Redmond as the Southampton winger comes off. Not sure what that's all about!" Any ideas? Maybe he was telling him what a useless, moany, talentless, little **** he is....
SNSUN Posted 29 November, 2017 Posted 29 November, 2017 Well, 3 at the back has come a long way since getting trounced by Wolves reserves earlier this season.Unlucky Saints. Now let's hope we stick with it, at least against the big clubs, it's shown it can be effective. That was gutting but at least we didn't get battered - and I bet a few City fans were worried when we pulled it back to 1-1. (Off to look at Bluemoon...)Anyone know how bad the Cedric injury was?
