saints-til-i-die Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Les Reed refuses to speak to the press and has denied journalists the opportunity to speak to him. That’s a really worrying sign. The local rag should be all over this but they are afraid of upsetting him. Shouldn’t journalists be trying to hold him to account? The daily echo need to highlight that he won’t resoond to requests. It’ll be a better and more important story than just writing pointless pieces which borrow comments from elsewhere. Perhaps the echo need some pressure to raise this as a story?
Batman Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 remember the triumphant claims by some when Cortese left that "we got our club back" did we?
sadoldgit Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 The fans have never owned the club, so how can they get it back?
shurlock Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Maybe Jeremy Wilson will put out an article likening Uncle Les to Willy Wonka again.
shurlock Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 The fans have never owned the club, so how can they get it back? Didn’t stop them saying it. Maybe they meant it figuratively in the same way certain posters talk about Maidstone. You tell me pal.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 He is accountable, but it’s to the owners not the supporters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
DuncanRG Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Can anyone name a club executive in the Premier League who gives regular interviews?
shurlock Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Can anyone name a club executive in the Premier League who gives regular interviews? As many as Uncle Les? ...Nope.
Micky Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Can anyone name a club executive in the Premier League who gives regular interviews?A very good point. Good to see yet another Les Reed thread though. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
simo Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Someone should send him a strongly worded Email !
Saint86 Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Has to go soon surely. Failed horrendously from the moment cortese left. Lost poch, fell out with koeman, the summer of discontent (at his stewardship) wanyama, Morgan, forster... God it just goes on and on.
Pedro Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 The Southampton Way - dead, We March On - dead, Black box - dead. Cut the crap and get back to basics. Recruitment isn't working right otherwise there would be a GK to challenge Forster, alternatives to challenge Tadic, Long and Redmond and this manager who is obviously not Prem quality. Sorry Les, time for a reshuffle and you, Ralph, Watson and Black need to go.
Micky Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 Someone should send him a strongly worded Email !I think he's about to get some strongly worded tweeters soon anyway. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
whelk Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 A very good point. Good to see yet another Les Reed thread though. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk You always know we are in crisis when proliferation of threads all basically about the same issue. Takes me back to the summer when Poch left. If only we listened to the hysterical posters then he would still be here declaring he’d like a 15 year contract. Bad bad Les
rooney Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 We have not heard from Ralph for a while either. Perhaps big Adam could organise a Fans Forum via Radio Solent as we have not had one for ages. I am sure the usual " I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years" questions will be overlooked for more pressing ones.
