Bad Wolf Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 So who's going to do the speech this week and what will the article headline be? My money's on Long and "We must concentrate more".
Lighthouse Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 Don't know but I look forward to the 'all smiles' twitter photos of the team training, followed by a video of the players banging them in from 25 yards, against a bunch of inflatables.
SaintMB Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 I vote 'Davis' in the 'post match interview' with a 'call for a reaction'. #NotACluedo
alpine_saint Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 Lundekvam. He had a natty line in the Monday morning pep talk..
shurlock Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 JWP will get wheeled out now that he’s likely to start next Sat.
OttawaSaint Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 Going with Romeu to say “we need to be braver”. Then I’ll pop the kettle on and enjoy the smiling Redmond, Tadic et al, curling in shot after shot vs Stuart Taylor.

Rumour has it that the inflatables won against them last week.
Ohio Saint Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 Rumour has it that the inflatables won against them last week. I love The Inflatables. best group of Marvel comic heroes ever.
saint1977 Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 Hopefully Koeman, Pardew, Allardyce, Adkins, the Cleaner or even Alpine Saint. Anyone but Reed, Pellegrino, JWP, Redmond etc.
egreog Posted 18 November, 2017 Posted 18 November, 2017 Doesn't matter who they wheel out for this pointless exercise. There feels like no connection between the fans and the club right now so they just should not bother!!
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Maybe they'll roll Jason Euell out of the cupboard again.
Graffito Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 We haven't had one of Ralph's motivational speeches for a while.
GAS Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 Maybe VVD can bring out the team spirit and togetherness.
Saint Garrett Posted 19 November, 2017 Posted 19 November, 2017 We’re ******** awful...get it done and bring in someone else who has an idea. Awful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

In fairness we do play each real match with an inflatable in goal.
OttawaSaint Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 Ding ding ding! It was Cedric: "We need to be upset. We need to think about our mistakes and what we need to improve. You cannot blame one or two people, you need to blame all the team. Either you can pout your head down and just go on the pitch and play or you can get together and fight"
LGTL Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 Getting together and fighting sounds like a good plan. Hopefully some first teamers would take a couple of knocks and be out for a while.
OttawaSaint Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 Getting together and fighting sounds like a good plan. Hopefully some first teamers would take a couple of knocks and be out for a while. A good clear the air punch up on the training ground would do us the world of good. "Tensions were fraught at Staplewood today as Southamptons Nathan Redmond and Dusan Tadic squared up following a difference of opinion". "It was nuts", exclaimed the dead ball specialist James Ward Prowse (23). "I had just curled a free kick just wide of the post when I turned around and it was all kicking off". "Tads, was squaring up to Reds, crazy stuff". An onlooker who refused to be named commented that the two Saints hotshots danced around for a bit backing off and sidestepping and eventually Redmond threw a punch but failed to land it, eventually losing his balance and falling over. Redmond then remonstrated angrily with Bertrand blaming him for the wayward swing. A confused Gabbiadini could only offer, "I couldn't see from where I was, I was much to far away from the midfielders".

Real handbags at ten paces stuff...
mrfahaji Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 Well I've just had a Southampton FC email with the subject, "Redmond: We need to believe". Apparently we have the quality, we're just low on confidence. Thank goodness for that. For a minute there I thought it had something to do with our tactics! #PellegrinoInAfterAll

I'm glad everything is all right afterall. Presumably the 'low on confidence thing' explains our poor performances in the early season games too. Phew.
St Chalet Posted 20 November, 2017 Posted 20 November, 2017 Talk is cheap Redmond. Go back to scoring worldie goals in training, anyone can notch against against no defenders and Fraser Forster.
