January 18 transfer window

ffs knew it would be seconds before the Brereton cdajfu post popped up as it is on every other Premier League mong board.

We made a very half hearted enquiry when he was a scholar.

was suggested on this very thread several weeks ago (and on previous transfer threads too I might add).

There is talent in the championship. Keiran Dowel also at Forest for example (all be it he is on loan from Everton) will make the step up in time. Not sure these championship players would turn our season around, but we shouldn't ignore it.

How good is Maitland-Nils by the way? What a talent. I'd be considering him for England WC squad.

Damn, you guys made me look into his tweets... To be honest, it was does appear that he's talking about Balotelli, however even if it was Theo, I would be equally pleased. Although I honestly think that Balotelli would be a much better fit for us.

He basically admitted he wasn't referring to Nice. Add to that Nice said he won't be sold this window and I can't see it.

He said we are in for a striker and midfielder.

One is close

Implied that he knows their agent.

I'm sure we have saints web detectives already on the case.

Earlobe specialists at the ready.

Position yourself at O'neils house in Winchester

I hope you mean Martin O'Neil is our new manager and are an ITK. I hope you're not just joking.

My friend makes bespoke luxury toilet tissue and he's had an order for 500 rolls of three ply butt-luxe aloe vera with gold "MB" embossed motif, to be delivered to the Winchester area.

Wow. We're signing Michael Bolton! Haircut advisor? Or is it Mary Berry up front?

Anyone else getting the slightest worrying inkling that nobody is coming in at all?
No. We will bring a couple in. Just frustrating that seemingly a couple more PL games will have gone by before we do.

Clearly crying out for reinforcements now.

No we will get someone in probably not anyone the fans want but we will clearly bring someone in the whole point of selling Van Dickhead was to free up funds for bringing in reinforcements. Though listening to Adam blackmore on solent the other day we've got more like 40 million to spend rather than the head line 75 million.

Careful. CB Fry will say ‘Jesus wept’ if you even suggest this. Lol

I recall a few jesus wepts from CBF when it was suggested wed be in a relegation battle this season.

One or two more when it was suggested we'd not adequately replace Fonte and a few more when people wrote of Redmond and Pellegrino early doors.

His "jesus wept" hit rate is as strong as Shane longs scoring ability.

by the way Martin O'Neill was actually in Winchester when the infamous sighting occurred. I'm told he was actually meeting up with Steve Guppy to play a round of golf at the Royal Winchester Golf Club with Steve's father who is a member there.

Who told me this? My father who was also a member at the Royal Winchester Golf Club at the time and occasionally played golf with with Steve Guppy's father.

CARRILLO TO SAINTS?

There is firm interest from Southampton in Monaco striker Guido Carrillo, according to Sky sources.

The 26-year-old Argentinian - valued at around £15million - played under Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino during his two year spell in charge of Estudiantes.

The struggling Premier League club are seeking a target man to play alongside Charlie Austin when he returns from injury.

Southampton have money to spend following the £75million sale of Virgil Van Dijk, although the fee is to be paid by Liverpool in instalments over a period of years.

As well as a centre-forward, they are also in the market for a winger with pace and a back-up right-back.

I was going to copy paste this myself, but you already posted it. How much of this is true?

He WON'T be playing alongside Austin, as MP refuses to play 2 up top.

Do we need a back up RB? We have Cedric and Pied as backup.

Really? I reckon that's one area where we are alright TBH. Cedric, Pied and any one of Yoshi, Stephens or Bednarek able to play there in an emergency seems to be perfectly good cover in that position.

What about a goalscoring AM to replace the ever-fading Davis?

What about a solid, international quality CB to replace VVD?

What about a reliable 1st choice keeper?

It seems that the club has got its priorities wrong... again!
