Would be a dreadful appointment

For both parties I think (unless Puel is thinking of the huge pay-off after the habitual sacking).

Jeez even I would take the job - money for old rope - lose 2 get the tin tack whatever cockamamy contract you have paid up. What a way to earn a living - rest of us ordinary souls get the sack “bugger how am I going to pay the mortgage” football managers “Oh dear this’ll upset the wife for a few weeks - I’ll take her somewhere nice”.
- they need fire and brimstone for the next 2 games and they are looking at a limp lettuce leaf............. the running of football does make you scratch your head sometimes.

I think any manager would be mental to go there. It really isn't any way to run a football club.

Maybe they need to be clear in their head what they want to achieve with Watford, what football philosophy and identity they want? They don't seem to have a clue, they just move players around between Granada and Udinese and have no real transfer strategy.

Oddball club and they really do need to get relegated so their owners can feel the financial pinch of their absurd club management.

Watford is a free hit for any unemployed manager. Sure, you’ll get sacked after a few months but nobody will blame you because they’re run by a bunch of fruitcakes.

Yep, he s also about to play a cup final on Friday against PSG.

2 cup finals in 4 years is not bad for a rubbish manager...

Lighthouse didn't name a manager. I think he was talking in general rather than solely anout Puel.

Yes, I just meant the Watford job in general. Might give it a crack myself actually.

"Rubbish" is being extremely generous there stevy. But you're right 2 cup finals in 4 years is remarkable for a manager of Puel's ability. Just shows that crazy things really do happen and anyone, and I mean anyone can be a professional football manager with a bit of luck and self belief.
