Brighton v Saints Match Thread

In that case, did Oriel fail spectacularly to clear the ball (passing it to a Brighton player) and did Cedric fail spectacularly to challenge for the ball?

It’s not either or. Yes others at fault but that was an easy save and he always looks like he is in cement

This has been dire watching, half arsed jogging after the ball, overplayed passes, dodgy positional play. Brighton look like they want it more and deserve at least a draw if not more. Subs needed now to spice things up, this is when we need to see the pace of Redmond and the bustle of Long. Gabbiadini is isolated, Tadic has been poor.

It wasn't an easy save. Should he have done better? Probably yes. But if the cross had been prevented in the first place (which it should have been), we wouldn't be having this discussion. The whole team has been ****e today - as per the majority of the season. It just seems FF is the easy scapegoat every week. We create bugger all and we rarely look like scoring. Maybe if the midfielders and forwards did their job, then the pressure on FF might not be so huge.

That is the usual dross served up on here every time we concede a goal and shows a total lack of understanding of the game. Oriel should have cleared the ball firstly, the cross should have been prevented secondly, the marking was ****e thirdly. Should Forster's positioning have been better? Definitely. Did he fail spectacularly? Not at all. Maybe if we could pass quicker, create some decent chances and score a few more goals, we wouldn't be focusing on the keeper all the time. But I suppose that is Forster's fault as well?!

So from possible England candidate as number 1 to what squad player now at best?.........Hes 6foot 7 for christ sake and what how many more glaring errors dose he have to make before you realise he is at fault for numerous goals lately and not all defenders mistakes but goalkeeping howlers. He dosent inspire the defenders infront of him thus leading to playing with too much pressure. And now we revert into playing boring krap boring krap and slow football.

TBH if MoPe wanted a wide player it should have been Redmond in the first place Boufal is always **** out wide play him in the middle or don't bother.

Pellegrino clearly sees Boufal and Redmond as two players fighting over one wide left position. I think that Pellegrino has it wrong.
