pluto Posted 27 October, 2017 Share Posted 27 October, 2017 Saints fans will no longer be subjected to paying a premium ticket price for a match because its the last home game or indeed like this season.. being on January 1st A 'morallly' unpleasant trend was started four or so seasons back, when the last home match was charged top pricing whoever was the opposition. I really couldnt believe the club felt this sort of practice was right as this 'date' pricing had never happened before at the club. After recent consultation the club have finally now agreed that this wont happen again.

It’s probably because they realise we’ll have nothing to play for by then.... we’ll have been confirmed relegated 2 or 3 games before that

Pamplemousse Posted 27 October, 2017 Share Posted 27 October, 2017 This last game though will likely be top category anyway, seeing as it's Man City. Good chance we'll see the Premier League trophy being lifted at St Mary's, as I predicted at the end of last season to mass ridicule on here #PamplemousseWasRightAgain

Seems likelier at this stage that they will win it a week before and our game with them will be a simple dead rubber but we do the whole guard of honour thing

Stud mark of doom Posted 27 October, 2017 Share Posted 27 October, 2017 Morally unpleasant? Seriously? Most popular games are charged more. The date is relevant. (They could charge less for games at stupid times tho.....)

It can't be good psychologically, to reinforce the fact before kick-off that the opposition are superior...

Perhaps we rid ourselves of that quaint concept though with the Brighton match under Adkins.
pluto Posted 28 October, 2017 Author Share Posted 28 October, 2017 Amazing to see some people still trying to 'justify' this nonsense, you cant its morally wrong or it would be in use for decades which its never been.
saintquin Posted 28 October, 2017 Share Posted 28 October, 2017 I don't see why there should be different prices. I pay to watch Saints no matter the opposition. If you go only for the opposition then you're probably not a Saints fan!
