Anyone seen his is post match interview?

Looked and sounded genuinely gutted and piissed off about the game!

Feels like he’s one of only a few on the pitch that actually care, also generally looks to have stepped up his performances since Fontes departure. Maya Yoshida what a guy!

I believe if he stays here till he's 33 he'll have been here 10 years which is a real possibility, signed in summer of 2012 so over halfway there. The guy was always decent at CB and poor at fullback - no idea why managers thought he made a good fullback, none of our other centrebacks were made to play there. Last season and this though he's gotten even better. Guess that's what years of serving as understudy to Alderweireld, Van Dijk and Fonte whilst learning from managers who made great defenders will do to you.

Reminded me of the heart-on-sleeve interviews that Fonte used to give in the not too distant past after disappointing performances...

Has been very consistent for nearly 18 months now yet still gets written off. People automatically assumed he'd give way to Stephens when VVD returned and more recently would be replaced by Hoedt, even though he's raw and new to the league. Not only that he's been entrusted with the captaincy. Can tell he's a pro's pro.

Love his application. Yes he used to have a mistake in him, hopefully that's now gone (touch wood), and you can see that he knows that we should be doing better, and it hurts him. Amazing to think that the player next to him is probably thinking all the opposite thoughts to what Maya is - strange old world.

He genuinely cares about the club and his performances (individually and collectively). Has always been decent defensively, when playing CH but still see him as part of the problem with our slow tempo, when playing out from the back. Gets into space, then checks and plays backwards or sideways.
