twoandahalfstuds Posted 10 October, 2017 Share Posted 10 October, 2017 Slightly different to the usual Saints FC podcast this week as we speak to Michael Cox about 25 years of tactics in the Premier League and his book The Mixer. Some of you will know Michael from the Totally Football Podcast with James Richardson of Football Italia fame. He is something of a tactical expert, writes for the Guardian and ESPN as well as for his own site ZonalMarking.net. We talk about his book and the big Saints players and managers that have had a profound effect on the Premier League, the tactical styles of Pochettino, Koeman and Puel, and have a chance to talk about football tactics more generally as well. Feedback welcome as always! mrfahaji Posted 10 October, 2017 Share Posted 10 October, 2017 Thanks, enjoyed listening to that. I went to see Michael Cox at his book launch but obviously there wasn't much Saints focus in his discussion, so good to hear his insights on us. Generally quite perceptive too, as you might expect. Buenos Aires Saint Posted 13 October, 2017 Share Posted 13 October, 2017 Just a comment on the podcasts in general. I thought the first couple could be improved and came across a tad monotone but they have really improved sonce and youve managed to get a good mix of people on and they have got me feeling quite nostalgic. Keep up the good work! Ive really enjoyed listening to them over here in Argentina.
