Get in there. 2-0 to Gabon away from home against Ivory Coast Commentator: 'thats why Saints paid that much money for him, athletic and technically brilliant' Bugger. That's his worldy for the season then. Meanwhile. Anyone mentioned Golf lately? I know Old Nick is absolutely dying for updates about being called up for Team Europe for the Ryder Cup. Saint Albert Posted 5 September, 2017 Share Posted 5 September, 2017 (edited) Ireland 0-1 down to a Kolorov goal. Tadic involved in the build up. Edited 5 September, 2017 by Saint Albert Spelling
suewhistle Posted 5 September, 2017 Share Posted 5 September, 2017 From The Guardian live blog, and no surprises for Saints fans: - The second half begins at a fairly frenetic pace, with Dusan Tadic failing to put his boot through the ball and making life easy for Ireland goalkeeper Darren Randolph after being put through. and -Another chance for Shane Long: Shane Long picks up the ball on the left flank, cuts inside and tries a shot. He fails to connect properly with his low drive and Serbia goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković saves comfortably at his near post.

Saint Albert Posted 5 September, 2017 Share Posted 5 September, 2017 He'll be too knackered to play for us at the weekend then, won't he? Yeah I was thinking that Pellegrino might want to give Tadic a break and perhaps try Boufal instead. Tadic will probably throw a strop though. qwertyell Posted 6 September, 2017 Share Posted 6 September, 2017 Yeah I was thinking that Pellegrino might want to give Tadic a break and perhaps try Boufal instead. Tadic will probably throw a strop though. It's okay, he'll slowly shuffle back and forth three or four times, giving the manager plenty of time to prepare for the onslaught, before meekly delivering less a strop more a whispered grumble, that comes to nothing and will be everyone else's fault. JRM Posted 6 September, 2017 Share Posted 6 September, 2017 I only watched the first half but thought Tadic was excellent at times putting through some excellent passes, if anything it exposes the poor movement around him at Saints that we don't benefit from that more, especially midfielders with pace making runs into space as he threaded the ball through many times. Long was frustrating getting drawn into making fouls as he often does with us.

angelman Posted 5 October, 2017 Share Posted 5 October, 2017 I'm finding it really really hard to watch Eng vs Slovenia. Fortunately I slept through most of the 1st half. This is dire, coupled with an overly turgid commentary on ITV.

Charlie Wayman Posted 5 October, 2017 Share Posted 5 October, 2017 What the heck is wrong with Bertrand he doesn't look fit at all, too slow getting forward, too slow to get back, hopeless positioning, passing backwards and slowing up play. No wonder he got booed late on. So it's not just when he plays for us, is he over the hill already?
LeBizzier69 Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 Bertrand is probably as bored and disillusioned with England as the rest of us are. We're going to get ripped several new ones next summer. And bore us all in the process.
Saint Albert Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 Well at 8-0 with a few minutes left, the Sweden-Luxembourg game is not exactly going the way VVD and the Dutch would’ve hoped.

Saint Albert Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 Holland need to stuff Belarus and then hope they can make up the goal difference in their game against Sweden. Sweden beat Belarus pretty handily in the last round. It’s not looking good for the Dutch.
marc_saint Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 Who knows what would have happened in their September games if VVD had been playing and was available for the Dutch national team. OttawaSaint Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 Holland are toast then. They’d havec to win 6-0 and then 4-0 vs Sweden. No chance!

Badger Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 The Dutch aren't even winning. Not looking good for them really Shame as the Dutch are one of the teams I look forward to watching during a World Cup. Remember the last WC in 2014 and in particular watching out for a young prospect called Classie who was tipped for great things and linked with top clubs.
