Pilchards Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 4 games in and we have fired blanks in 3 of them. Does the black box have a tick for 'attacking exciting goalscorer.' If so bloody tick it and get one in fast.

Dazza82 Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 If only we could sign someone who could see or even play in Gabbiadini's runs. He must be so frustrated Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Heisenberg Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 We took gabbiadini off too soon. Just as Huddersfield looked like they were tiring we took off our main goal threat for errr JWP. We created chances late on but our goal threat was in the changing room, probably sulking about the horrendous service he'd been given all game. Pamplemousse Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 The problem is an attacking midfielder who can create chances. Tadic was useless and did nothing, Redmond was at least involved in the play, although his application was appalling.

Wouldn't have taken of gabby though maybe tadic for Jwp and then rather McQueen

Tadic was useless and did nothing, Redmond was at least involved in the play, although his application was appalling. Tadic created 2 excellent scoring chances in the first half. Unfortunately the both fell to Steven Davis who, for all his merits, is not who you want as the player attempting to put away your chances. Cabrone Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 When you only have 2 real goal scorers (forget Shane 'but he runs a lot' Long) and one of them (i.e. Charlie Austin) isn't even picked then it's hardly surprising the goals are ball achingly rare. Gabbi and Charlie are top class finishers but the manager doesn't appear to want us to score for some reason. Someone needs to remind him that football is entertainment and that fans want to see some goals. 4-4-2 with Austin\Gabbi up front please.

JibMcdo Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 Is it too early to be worried about the manager? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Why, why, why is it always about the manager?? The players have to stand up. We have Redmond, Tadic, Davis and JWP as the 4 that play behind our striker and none of them are capable of finishing. Previous managers have relied on J-Rod, Lallana and Mane who are far superior, the last two managers haven't and that's down to recruitment. And there lies our problem, Davo is a good squad player but simply doesn't have the tools to play in the number 10 position.

JibMcdo Posted 26 August, 2017 Share Posted 26 August, 2017 Because the subs were bizarre as they were on Wed when too late Our best period of the today's game was the last 10 minutes. We don't have the players we used to. Until we get some new players, clean sheets will be vital, as they were under Puel last season.
Pilchards Posted 26 August, 2017 Author Share Posted 26 August, 2017 Because the subs were bizarre as they were on Wed when too late Huddersfield chased everything for 70 minutes and were basically blowing out there arses towards the end. What do we do? Take off Gabby and replace with McQueen. Boufal and Austin would of been a great option alongside Gabby.
