Pamplemousse Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 McCarthy IS alive then! Interesting to see how Targett and Hoj do
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 Hojbjerg getting a run out but not Clasie. Suggests, perhaps, that the latter is off?
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 whats happening with Hesketh? Injured I believe. Along with Sims.
SuperSAINT Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Hojbjerg getting a run out but not Clasie. Suggests, perhaps, that the latter is off? Clasie isn't U-23
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 Clasie isn't U-23 I thought we were allowed to play up to 3 over aged players in the U23s?
SuperSAINT Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 I thought we were allowed to play up to 3 over aged players in the U23s? I wasn't being serious
SuperSAINT Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Here's a bit about our striker this evening:
Batman Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Hojbjerg getting a run out but not Clasie. Suggests, perhaps, that the latter is off? reckon so
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 I wasn't being serious Ah! Mind reading was never one of my better attributes
SuperSAINT Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Ah! Mind reading was never one of my better attributes I even included the winky smiley I reckon you're right and there's a decent chance Clasie is off.
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 I even included the winky smiley My eyesight isn't that good Anyway, here's the stream for the game...
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 2-0 Some decent play by Saints but Reading look poor
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 Half time. Dominant performance from Saints thus far. Our front 3 running them ragged.
dronskisaint Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Good watching....some useful youngsters out there.
SuperSAINT Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Half time. Dominant performance from Saints thus far. Our front 3 running them ragged. How is PEH looking?
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 3-0 Barnes Edit: looks more like an own goal. Good cross from Bakery though
egg Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 alright...hardly a standout Little looks better imo. Barnes dangerous and the kid Bakary decent too.
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 Wow, great goal 4-0 Ofalabi, another assist from Johnson
trousers Posted 14 August, 2017 Author Posted 14 August, 2017 who is our RB. looks goodBakery. Yep, had a good game.
SuperSAINT Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Wow, great goal 4-0 Ofalabi, another assist from Johnson Fantastic for the lad. Another one off the production line getting his chance due to us loaning out Seager & Olomola.
suewhistle Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 Just started watching. Rowthorn got on yet? He got on towards the end after the game was well won.
sambosa75 Posted 14 August, 2017 Posted 14 August, 2017 He got on towards the end after the game was well won. Ooops....!! That'll teach me for stopping watching then!!
CityRanger Posted 15 August, 2017 Posted 15 August, 2017 Bakery. Yep, had a good game. Looked very accomplished down the right. Getting a chance as Valery is injured according to Hesketh on commentary.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 15 August, 2017 Posted 15 August, 2017 Enjoyed watching it but I wonder how much benefit the kids are getting. We'll be playing far weaker teams in Division 2 and whilst it will be good fun seeing us thump teams is it really optimal for development of our players? It just means the jump they need to make when they train / play for the first team is even bigger and that is a greater obstacle to overcome.
Shropshire Saint Posted 15 August, 2017 Posted 15 August, 2017 Enjoyable match and impressive performance with the front three looking very good against admittedly a poor Reading defence. Thought Armani Little played well in midfield as did Bakery at full back. Hoj and Matt Target played well without being spectacular. Disappointed with Callum Slattery - I thought that he did not get involved enough. As I have only recently moved back into the area this is the first Reserves (as we used to call them) fixture I have seen live for the best part of 40 years! I think Danny Wallace played in the last Reserve fixture I saw!!
sambosa75 Posted 15 August, 2017 Posted 15 August, 2017 Bakery. Yep, had a good game. He's as mad as a box of frogs apparently....
