simo Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 You saw how he clapped the whole stadium when we all sang "Theo Walcott he wants to come home" that time , It's obviously going to happen !
Badger Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 He seems perpetually injured. So we know how this will end if he does sign for us. Not that I see it happening.
Max Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 If he’s not good enough for them, why should he be good enough for us. Examples A and B: Romeu and Bertrand. Not good enough for their club, brilliant for us. That's our policy at the moment. I think we should also get Luke Shaw back in when we need a new LB. Saint in Paradise Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 Some seem to think that it is Theo's choice to return, even if it's for less money, but I wonder IF his agent would allow it?
eelpie Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 I'd have him but he's not going to half his wages to come here and rightly so. This reads like you support footballers achieving astronomic wages.
VectisSaint Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 Examples A and B: Romeu and Bertrand. Not good enough for their club, brilliant for us. That's our policy at the moment. I think we should also get Luke Shaw back in when we need a new LB. Oriol Romeu, 24 when he joined us, Ryan Bertrand, 24 when he joined us. That's our policy. Theo Walcott, 28 going on 29. Reasonably certain it won't happen. Luke Shaw is a different matter, however we have Bertrand, McQueen and Targett, so again unlikely.
cellone Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 Two Thierrys in one team. AWESOME.
Pamplemousse Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 Unfortunately, this story has come from the Daily Express, the very definition of fake news.
St Chalet Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 If the wages worked then signing him would be a no brainer. Still has something to prove and has a very good goal record from a wide position. This
St Chalet Posted 6 October, 2017 Share Posted 6 October, 2017 Only chance we have is the new owners..... Under Kat / Les zero chance. But new owner might have some legitimate ambitions Still think he'd go to one of the top 7 before us 3/
Shance Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 I'd take Wallcott back in a heart beat. He's stagnated at Arsenal and sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery to kick start things again. He's better than anything we have so if we can afford him we need to be going for him! Wenger set him back imo. He always wanted to be played through the middle but Wenger turned him into a wing forward which set him back a bit, now he's so used to playing there he doesn't suit being played up top. He does it with so many players. That's why he hasn't fulfilled his potential for me, along with some unfortunate injuries.
percy windham Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 I'd definitely have him back.
Wurzel Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 Wondering if he was the (un-named) forward we were rumoured to be trying to sign in the last window which couldn't be completed at the time but negotiations were meant to be still ongoing. Guessing Arsenal wouldn't let him go until Sanchez's future was decided. Usually I say never go back (unless - and with hindsight - you are Channon or Ball) but in Theo's case I'd take him like a shot.
Simon3737 Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 I think he’d be ideal for us. He appears intelligent enough to realise moving to West Ham for a bit more money would be a bad move. I emphasise the word ‘appears’ though!
Disco Stu Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 He's an improvement on our first team so a big YES from me. It's about time we stop gambling with unknowns and get someone with experience at this level.
tajjuk Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 I'd have him back, at his best he's close to unplayable, he's just a bit inconsistent and Arsenal seem to put him in and out of the team. He'd add pace to our front line and pace with technique unlike Long.
Avenue_Saint Posted 7 October, 2017 Share Posted 7 October, 2017 Be crazy to turn noses up against his return. Type of player who would massively improve us. Think Redmond pace, with goals

SuperSAINT Posted 8 October, 2017 Share Posted 8 October, 2017 (edited) Do we have room in the 25 man squad for Wallcot? If Gardos is in it's an easy decision He is: http://www.southampton.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=503207 Edited 8 October, 2017 by SuperSAINT
aintforever Posted 8 October, 2017 Share Posted 8 October, 2017 Would be a great move for him and us IMO. Doubt he would want to come here or our club would show the ambition if he did.
saint lard Posted 8 October, 2017 Share Posted 8 October, 2017 Get him in. Big upgrade on what we have. Such a shame he went to Arsenal...they do not bring on the talent in players they sign. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
