Weston Super Saint Posted 13 January, 2009 Share Posted 13 January, 2009 Yes it is. Wonder if it's still drinkable? Smack another glass on the rim to 'liven' it up a bit....
St Landrew Posted 13 January, 2009 Share Posted 13 January, 2009 A touching story. You been watching Billy Connolly's World Tour Of NZ recently..? Good story. Apart from the obvious awful thing, which is to die, fighting for a cause, in a far off country; I think it's terrible that these dead soldiers are not reunited with their homelands. In many cases, the families will never see the headstones of these brave people that lie in cemeteries far away, and that's simply not right. I first saw it quite a few years ago, and since then have been looking out for it again. The other night it was on that lesser channel "Watch" so I recorded it on Sky+ and watched it the next day. I get what you mean about soldiers being buried miles away from home and that not quite being right, or rather I did until I visited my Granddads grave in Italy about 15 years ago. He was a young man of 23 and is buried next to his mates who he spent the last months of his life with. In some ways it would be wrong to split them up.
