Heisenberg Posted 4 August, 2017 Posted 4 August, 2017 Lesbians... two sisters probably. Classic Gareth
Colinjb Posted 4 August, 2017 Posted 4 August, 2017 Neymar's little finger and right Kidney would do it.
SKD Posted 4 August, 2017 Posted 4 August, 2017 (edited) CB - Christensen & another (I like the look of Hoedt or Martins Indi, not sure on Wimmer) CDM - Carvalho (probably too expensive if we bring in 2 cb's) or Krychowiak Edited 4 August, 2017 by SKD
Rebel Posted 4 August, 2017 Posted 4 August, 2017 OK so in the spirit of the OP - here goes! So starting with the fact that we have sold VVD to Chelsea for £60M plus Andreas Christensen - here is what we do in 'realistic fantasy' land - and keeping with our supposed buy young players with potential strategy: And then with the £60M sign: DC: Wesley Hoedt from Lazio FW: Patrick Roberts from Man City FW: Yann Karamoh from Caen Play Jack Stephens as a defensive midfielder, sell Clasie and Long and loan out Gardos.
Pilchards Posted 4 August, 2017 Posted 4 August, 2017 I will get 3 promising players for the future costing a total of 18m. No WAY will Les spend more than 18m on one player, no way.
the saint in winchester Posted 4 August, 2017 Posted 4 August, 2017 That would not represent at "Fantasy" as it would be classed as selling on the cheap, the asking price is £75 I trust you mean £75M. At £75, I will buy him myself as my man-servant.
ally_uk Posted 5 August, 2017 Author Posted 5 August, 2017 Rebel that looks good cept I would sign a new def mid, A tank with a bit of height currently we have a team of gnomes....
danjosaint Posted 5 August, 2017 Posted 5 August, 2017 (edited) CB, Yannick Vestergaard 15m DCM, William Carvahlio 25m AM, Hakim Zyech 25m Would like Hoedt as well if we could stretch another 18m, I put Vestergaard instead as I know very little about Hoedt apart from what I've recently read Edited 5 August, 2017 by danjosaint
Bad Wolf Posted 5 August, 2017 Posted 5 August, 2017 Sigurdsson...Just him. I'd use all the VVD money to get him.
Badger Posted 5 August, 2017 Posted 5 August, 2017 Lesbians... two sisters probably. Might improve the half time entertainment that's for sure.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 5 August, 2017 Posted 5 August, 2017 I trust you mean £75M. At £75, I will buy him myself as my man-servant. typo but yes 75 mill
ally_uk Posted 5 August, 2017 Author Posted 5 August, 2017 Sigurdsson would be a good shout. But I feel the key area to strengthen is def mid and central def. Watching the Ausberg game we are crying out for height.
Pass the Dutchie Posted 5 August, 2017 Posted 5 August, 2017 Sigurdsson would be a poor signing at £50m, which they want. Good set pieces, most his assists from there, a few open play goals but not many. He's the player I would hope JWP can become here. So it depends if you think he's currently £50m better than JWP. If not we should spend elsewhere. The amount is an almost irrelevant thing nowadays, when comparing it to quality. It doesn't mean much anymore in terms of how great a player is individually. Would he make the team better in ways that we need? Could he be the missing piece that can help other players shine? I don't know if he can, but those are the more important questions than whether the amount is too high or not.
