Tom & Gerry Posted 30 July, 2017 Share Posted 30 July, 2017 It's very funny in parts and grim and sad in others. A great read.

captain sensible Posted 30 July, 2017 Author Share Posted 30 July, 2017 Great read on so many levels, football, racing, but most of all father son relationship. Recommended to all. Have a listen to Episode 3 of this link as well http://saintsfcpod.libsyn.com Yes, the Father/Son relationship was the most intriguing...although I would say not uncommon. You basically do as yer Dad tells you...or you suffer the consequences...and the young Channon falls foul of the "law" on many an occasion. The advice not to show any weakness is as sound as it gets! kwsaint Posted 31 July, 2017 Share Posted 31 July, 2017 I've read it and would recommend it. It's a really enjoyable read. It's better for the fact that it deals both with successes and failures. There's a real warmth about the book and some of it is laugh out loud funny.
