Pamplemousse Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Kick off at 17.30 Official and, for once, legitimate stream is here Saints will probably stream it too. That one could be in French.

sadoldgit Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Votre mère était un hamster et votre père sentait des baies de sureau! Cant beat a bit of Monty Python when things are slow!
striker Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 All right, Gabbi and Austin in together. This is what I've wanted to see.
shurlock Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Other than Cedric and VVD, what Pellegrini believes is his strongest XI?
Saints foreva Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 I think that will be our starting lineup on the opening day of the season.
striker Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 I think that will be our starting lineup on the opening day of the season. Changing Cedric for Pied, I agree.
Donatello Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Other than Cedric and VVD, what Pellegrini believes is his strongest XI? Davis in central midfield? I hope not
Saint Pete Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Will be interesting to see how that lineup plays - very attacking looking, but will it be balanced in the midfield?
Donatello Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Has it been confirmed that McCarthy is injured again?
Saint Bones Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Maybe Redmond / Tadic ? Be interesting to see if how long the majority will get today - assuming it won't be a total change for the second half ?
Badger Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 I think that will be our starting lineup on the opening day of the season. Subject to Cedric, and VVD coming back into the fold I suspect you could be correct. There are a few known weaknesses though, MF - apar from Romeu - looks weak, and I'm not convinced we can afford the luxury of both Tadic and Boufal on the pitch at the same time. Then of course, there's the GK issue - FF is questionable, and not sure we should rely on the other two as back up.

DT Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 why are they playing in a field watched by 32 fans? most odd
trousers Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Do we know how strong the St Etienne starting 11 is?
S-Clarke Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Is the stream incredibly sh1t or just mine? Saints stream is pathetically bad, so i'm using the ASSE one - no commentary though.
trousers Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Is the stream incredibly sh1t or just mine? The former
eurosaint Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Is this the Saint Etienne stadium or just their training ground ??
Saints foreva Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Stephens got let off massively there. Absolutely bullied.
Sanjay Sanchez Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Is the stream incredibly sh1t or just mine? Mine is sh1te as well.
stknowle Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Early days obviously but we do look exceptionally sh!t so far.
niceandfriendly Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 No wonder we are all the experts favourites for relegation this season. It's a shame that we've fallen so far in such a short space of time, but providing we can keep most of the squad together we should be able to get at least play-offs in 2018/19
hutch Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-07-29/live-saint-etienne-southampton-pre-season-friendly Geo-blocked for international viewers? Good marketing Saints.
washsaint Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Just like last season - huge gap between midfield and front players. So far in pre-season we have looked rubbish - no attacking threat whatsoever. Starting to get a bit worried about the coming season.
trousers Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Geo-blocked for international viewers? Good marketing Saints. They're also broadcasting it from the Saints Facebook page
trousers Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 No wonder we are all the experts favourites for relegation this season. A bit like last season then
Batman Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 we look terrible to be honest. (so far) the formation is creating a large gap in the middle of the park
Red Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 Geo-blocked for international viewers? Good marketing Saints. This one works - but no commentary http://www.footballwhispers.com/blog/watch-live-st-etienne-v-southampton
hutch Posted 29 July, 2017 Posted 29 July, 2017 They're also broadcasting it from the Saints Facebook page What is this Facebook you speak of?

Ahead of Brighton, Huddersfield, Bournemouth and Swansea?
