captain sensible Posted 28 July, 2017 Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Anyone ITK on this? 11 year old nephew wants to go and watch the U12's but the whole tournament, despite being advertised on the main site, is shrouded in secrecy?

captain sensible Posted 28 July, 2017 Author Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Try sending an email to: southamptoncup@saintsfc.co.uk ?? Already done that! Shrouded in secrecy! Have advertised it on the main site but do not want an audience wherever the group games are being played. Finals are at Test Park.
Charlie Wayman Posted 28 July, 2017 Share Posted 28 July, 2017 This club does not help itself does it, you can't get in to Staplewood to see U23 games even 'though they're happy to do live videos of games. I guess the answer must be to do with proper staffing of public events which they're not prepared to organise or pay for. This for a family friendly club that pride itself on great communications! captain sensible Posted 28 July, 2017 Author Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Well...I blame Les "Captain Mainwaring" Reed and his platoon of yes men/women. This is obviously his idea and it is announced on the main site, but no-one can go and see anything apart from the final. "Don't tell 'em your name Pike"! S-Clarke Posted 28 July, 2017 Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Everything is Les Reed's fault. Even global warming. He's got a lot to answer for.
Webby Posted 28 July, 2017 Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Here's a brochure for the whole event...should help you, it's pretty thorough. https://we.tl/i6SpfRP8xk p.s. it's a 24mb download!
Webby Posted 28 July, 2017 Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Note: according to the brochure, there is no U12 boys... What team is it?
Webby Posted 28 July, 2017 Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Update: I see your predicament, there are actually two tournaments running concurrently; the Southampton cup, and the Southampton community cup. The first is for Elite level uk and international youth teams, while the latter is open to local grassroots club. My son's team is in the grassroots cup, hence I had the brochure emailed to me. You may be looking for the Elite tournament, and yes, info is hard to find at the moment.
captain sensible Posted 28 July, 2017 Author Share Posted 28 July, 2017 I couldn't download it unfortunately! There is an U12 & U14 category. It is pretty decent. Chelsea are there...Probably Denim Nnamudi playing...Porto are there...any kid would want to see that. Mad that they announced it and then don't want people to watch? captain sensible Posted 28 July, 2017 Author Share Posted 28 July, 2017 Come on...what is wrong with this forum these days...there used to be moles throughout the entire club infrastructure sharing privvy information. Where and when is the Group stages U12 being held? This is not a Hatton Garden heist!
