Why do women/girls wear this form of foot wear that is clearly so not good for their feet.

At least 90% of wearers of this style boot seem to be walking as if they have poo'ed their pants due to the total lack of support they offer.

Or is it just me getting old and needing something to moan about

totally 1000000% agree. I have banned my girls from buying them as it makes the wearer look as if they have disabled legs.

Why , why, why, oh why?

I have a pair but due to the reasons you've said I only wear them as slippers indoors and/or for very quick trips (to take the bin out or something). They are very warm and cosy, so I assume that's the reason, but I just couldn't wear them out. I have bought a pair that look fairly similiarish that I can wear.

Went to the Ugg factory last year down south of Perth. Can't say it was even remotely interesting but it was the 10 minute stop over on an all day vinyard tour.

I got given a pair of purple crocs.... Think they are the ugliest things ever

BUT bloody useful for slipping on quick to go get a pint of milk from the corner shop (but not in winter in Blighty)

Sad to say actually saw a cute chick in the local supermarket wearing Ugg's - it was 25C outside. Didn't notice the boots at first, noticed the "strange perfume"

I wear these sort but they are black. Have a 15 minute walk to/from the train station each day & I find it easier to walk in these & then change into heels when in the office.

I have some too that are black. I wear them because I am taller than my (work) partner and I don't want him to feel inferior if I wear heels :)
