I prefer to use Glasgow's logic. If we pay for a player then it is very expensive and all that money goes directly to the other team, smart team! If we sell a player then all the add ons don't count and when you take out agent fees, stamp duty, spaniel tax and pay their bar tab the Saints are left with a couple of hundred thousand and we got fleeced.

I am immensely uncomfortable about the influence agents have and the fees they get.

 

The problem is that the league and the clubs have no incentive to change it. If they created a fixed % agents earn the agents will simply take the players to another league
