John Boy Saint Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 The new kid is only 16. Klarer could be away with the Austria youth team. Did we sign him from Young Boys?
Master Bates Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 Tried Radio Essex or whatever it’s called? Yeah it's not online, but if you live in Essex. I paid on the Official Colchester website, they can't get it working and not doing refunds
LGTL Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 Yeah it's not online, but if you live in Essex. I paid on the Official Colchester website, they can't get it working and not doing refunds Great service!
Master Bates Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 Great service! It's done via a company called ifollow, or at least I have to email ifollow@efl.com so I suppose I can't blame the club. 3rd and final post.
Nordic Saint Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 3 away wins in 3 different competitions in 8 days! Our teams are winning again.
JRM Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 Skates at St Mary's please...! :-) We've got to get through the group stage still, and I don't think they have u21 teams playing at home, we'd lose at Fratton to their first team against our youngsters, think I'd rather avoid them. Well done to the lads tonight, good result.
The Cat Posted 4 September, 2018 Posted 4 September, 2018 554 attendance!!! Wonder how many we had? Must be someone on here who lives near enough and made the trip. Good win for the nippers.
whelk Posted 5 September, 2018 Posted 5 September, 2018 Wonder how many we had? Must be someone on here who lives near enough and made the trip. Good win for the nippers. Is our MK game a record attendance outside of final? 29901. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8504209.stm
whelk Posted 5 September, 2018 Posted 5 September, 2018 3 away wins in 3 different competitions in 8 days! Our teams are winning again. And clean sheets
kwsaint Posted 5 September, 2018 Posted 5 September, 2018 Is our MK game a record attendance outside of final? 29901. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8504209.stm May have been at the time. Found this on wiki. 'The highest attendance for any game outside of the final came on 5 February 2013 for the Northern Area final, when Coventry City lost to Crewe Alexandra 3–0 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry (they later won the away leg 2-0, going down 3-2 on aggregate), in front of a crowd of 31,054.'
Charlie Wayman Posted 5 September, 2018 Posted 5 September, 2018 The boys played really well last night, seemed to outclass the opposition with some very slick touch and run football with which Colchester could not cope. On that showing they would have beaten our first team. Our second goal was sheer brilliance, one of the goals of the season if anybody was watching.

ecuk268 Posted 5 September, 2018 Posted 5 September, 2018 Did we sign him from Young Boys? Is that Bob Higgins's team?
John Boy Saint Posted 5 September, 2018 Posted 5 September, 2018 https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-09-05/highlights-checkatrade-trophy-southampton-colchester-united Like the “Dad” somewhere in the crowd hollering “Get into Them!!!! “ when we had the ball.
John Boy Saint Posted 6 September, 2018 Posted 6 September, 2018 Looking at the photos on the OS, anyone have any explanation as to why the team shirts didn't have our title sponsor Virgin on them?
Batman Posted 6 September, 2018 Posted 6 September, 2018 Looking at the photos on the OS, anyone have any explanation as to why the team shirts didn't have our title sponsor Virgin on them? they have not paid for it?
Soulful Odin Posted 6 September, 2018 Posted 6 September, 2018 Fairly sure youth team kits never have sponsors on them
VectisSaint Posted 6 September, 2018 Posted 6 September, 2018 Looking at the photos on the OS, anyone have any explanation as to why the team shirts didn't have our title sponsor Virgin on them? Virgin sponsor the 1st team
John Boy Saint Posted 6 September, 2018 Posted 6 September, 2018 I figured it was probably because of the reasons given above, I guess given the low key nature of this competition at this stage, the negotiations for the main club sponsor to be on the shirts would cost more than the return that having it there for non streamed games in front of 554 people. To be honest I quite like the shirt without the additional clutter on the front..........squad numbers of 60, 62 etc are quite strange though.
