Badger Posted 3 September, 2017 Posted 3 September, 2017 Rafa has a £5M buy out clause in his Newcastle contract ! so if he wants another job Ashley gets £5M from him or his new employers . I suspect he will ride out theseason . BBC Gossip yesterday linked a story that Benitez would be interested in the West Ham job should it become available. He'd be going from a club who begrudge spending money signing players to one that publicly talk up wanting to sign everyone.
nta786 Posted 3 September, 2017 Posted 3 September, 2017 Everton have spent a lot of money, but their lack of getting in a striker yesterday has got to be ringing alarm bells for their fans, surely? You can't let a 25/30 goal player leave and not replace him, which in essence is what they've done. They're obviously hoping for a better return of goals throughout the team, rather than focusing on a single player, but it's a huge gamble. And Newcastle - christ on a bike. What a ****ty situation they've got themselves in. Huddersfield and Bournemouth have spent more than them. Rafa will be gone within weeks in my opinion, through his own call rather than being sacked. He won't want a relegation battle on his CV and they're not doing anything else this season. So why can a manager leave through his own call but a player can't? Just wondering!
angelman Posted 3 September, 2017 Posted 3 September, 2017 Because of club's holding player registrations, which managers do not have.
Saint Albert Posted 3 September, 2017 Posted 3 September, 2017 Sullivan Jr. has announced on Twitter that W. Ham will be suing Sporting Lisbon's communications director over his Carvalho transfer comments.

Pass the Dutchie Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 Leicester 14 seconds too late with the Silva transfer.
bazza Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 Leicester 14 seconds too late with the Silva transfer. I've no sympathy, why on earth would they leave it so late to get the deal done?
Saint Albert Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 The war of words following West Ham's possible efforts to recruit Carvalho continue, with Sporting Lisbon's president adding some class to the dispute, by referring to West Ham's owners as "the dildo brothers." That name could stick.

Dark Munster Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 I haven't got around to reading it yet.

That name could stick. Lol. To be honest, the West Ham owners ask for all the stick they get. They act like billy big balls all window talking up huge targets, then never manage to get them. Then to appease their fans, they're suggesting it's Sportings fault. They did it last year with Lacazette...
angelman Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 What do you mean that the Dildo Brothers name could stick? That is what they have been referred as for years.
Saint Albert Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 What do you mean that the Dildo Brothers name could stick? That is what they have been referred as for years. First time I heard it.
Dangermouth Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 First time I heard it. Read KUMB more often. Even some of them use it. Actually quite a few as the owners aren't that popular.
angelman Posted 6 September, 2017 Posted 6 September, 2017 Not that I claim to be hip and with it, but I've known and referred to them as the Dildo Brothers for years.
Saint_Ash Posted 7 September, 2017 Posted 7 September, 2017 Proper hilarious emails from David Sullivan to Sporting Lisbon re Carvalho. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11023586/west-ham-emails-to-sporting-lisbon-that-appear-to-prove-william-carvalho-offers I thought they were fake due to being written like a child but apparently not.

The idea of West Ham qualifying for the Champions League is pretty hilarious as well.

benjii Posted 7 September, 2017 Posted 7 September, 2017 I like the way he puts the subject in CAPS in the body of the email. If only someone invented a "Subject" field for emails.
benjii Posted 7 September, 2017 Posted 7 September, 2017 I'm surprised it doesn't say something like, "final bloody offah, ya bunch of fackin maags. Comprende?" though.

trousers Posted 23 October, 2017 Posted 23 October, 2017 Just had a flick through a couple of Everton forums and they are rightfully buzzing for next season. Some (supposedly reputable) ITKs reporting that they have paid less than £60m upfront for Pickford, Klaassan, Keane, Ramirez and Onyekuru. Seems like they are securing some proven talent at reasonable prices and will then flog Lukaku and Barklay for big bucks.... Doubt Koeman is looking back in anger. This
