Saint Albert Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Davis with some excellent defending again. And Saints head it off the line!
Shroppie Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 And Liverpool score. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Austin enjoying his afternoon stroll. Damn Puel why do you tell your players to walk?
Saint Albert Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Redmond hits the crossbar with the keeper off the line!
Micky Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Another crap post from you. Please God. Let this be your last. God, I wish...... Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
verlaine1979 Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Our idea of movement generally seems to be trying to maintain eye contact with the ball at all times, while slowly backing towards the opposition penalty area.
BotleySaint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 So unlucky for Redmond. That could just as easily have dropped in. Great effort.
Ampersound Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Great work by Redmond but could he just not have played it straight back to Tadic who could have done the same but whilst Butland was still out of the 18yard box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pamplemousse Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 The last two minutes was entertaining The players need to wake up. Puel is probably the most animated out of anyone
OttawaSaint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Great work by Redmond but could he just not have played it straight back to Tadic who could have done the same but whilst Butland was still out of the 18yard box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Come now. Tadic woul have either taken an age to decide what to do or scuffed it straight at Butland.
Viking Saint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Sky Sports reporting that this is a brilliant 0-0 so far.......
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 I can't work out if we are just really unlucky in the final third or if it happens so much there is something more to it. Like the way we play creates chances but never puts someone in the right position to finish them. Or we're just a bit rubbish. But we can't be rubbish to create so many chances. My head hurts.
Saint Benali Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Another half without a shot on target. 45 mins for Puel to save his job.
Dark Munster Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Our comical defence strikes again . Would be funny if it wasn't so predictable 47 goals conceded in 37.5 matches. 8th best in the league, and with both 1st choice CBs out for much of the season. Yes, hilarious.
Saint Albert Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 I thought that Saints had some decent moments particularly down the left flank with Redmond and Bertrand. Davis and Yoshi were important in defence. FF isn't very good at goal kicks. Stoke grew into the game a bit towards the last fifteen mins or so. Random observation: Did the pitch design around the centre circle remind anyone else of the universal biohazard symbol?
Dark Munster Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Win lose or draw, I think the main reaction to today will be relief we're done for the season and Puel will be gone in a few days. Don't mind today's team, rather Gabbiadini and Austin up front together but it's not the worst line up. But it hasn't had enough time together and no line up ever will under Puel. Amazing how he does that, despite always playing his favourites.
Saint Benali Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 47 goals conceded in 37.5 matches. 8th best in the league, and with both 1st choice CBs out for much of the season. Yes, hilarious. Couldn't care about how many goals we let in. Care about how many we score. Can't win a game without scoring goals.
NewYorkSaint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 The football's often been attractive, and sometimes thrilling... just our usual story this season of not finding the final ruthless shot. We're really not that far away from an amazing team. I think if Puel worked on his English this summer and better communicated what I believe to be an impressive footballing brain, we could end up much happier about him. That, and an effective striker!
Shroppie Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Couldn't care about how many goals we let in. Care about how many we score. Can't win a game without scoring goals. That really is ridiculous. So you don't care if we let in six goals a game as long as we score one or two? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Saint Albert Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Saints break well but Austin is offside...not sure if he was though
OttawaSaint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 That's a clinical finish but Austin was a mile offside. Gah!
supersonic Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 how long does Tadic want to play a simple ball. Liability!
Shroppie Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 And Liverpool home and dry. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
supersonic Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 seems to be a "good bye" tweet. Shame as really nice guy, just a shadow of the player he was pre-injuury.
Saint Billy Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 The football's often been attractive, and sometimes thrilling... just our usual story this season of not finding the final ruthless shot. We're really not that far away from an amazing team. I think if Puel worked on his English this summer and better communicated what I believe to be an impressive footballing brain, we could end up much happier about him. That, and an effective striker! Dont agree with much of this.
OttawaSaint Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 how long does Tadic want to play a simple ball. Liability! Doesn't seem to have an ounce of confidence or self belief. Sad.
Saint Benali Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 That really is ridiculous. So you don't care if we let in six goals a game as long as we score one or two? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk No obviously not. My point is if you don't score goals you can't win. I don't think many people cheer because of a clean sheet do they?
jasonb Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Jaysus this season is ending on a tepid note. How many other professions let you phone in a performance as regular as professional footballers?
nta786 Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 We seem too predictable... 'Get it down the wing, fullback overlapping, give it to that fullback, cross the ball, which is easily defended when we have just one in the box compared to their numbers'
5string Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 we go up a position thanks to cherries Come on, Swansea!
Saint Albert Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Davis' confidence seems to evaporate as he approaches the opposing penalty area....
trousers Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 we go up a position thanks to cherries I've always liked that Vardy fella...
Saint Albert Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 A few hectic moments...Romeu destroys Pieters with an open field tackle...Pieters gets back to his feet eventually
5string Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 Stoke getting back into it as a result of our inability to score from good positions. We're ok getting TO the box. Scared to go INTO the box. Rather awful IN the box. That's a coaching thing, I'd suggest.
Shroppie Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 No obviously not. My point is if you don't score goals you can't win. I don't think many people cheer because of a clean sheet do they? And if you don't let in goals, you can't lose. But success obviously comes from effective defence and attack together. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
SuperSAINT Posted 21 May, 2017 Posted 21 May, 2017 All they have to do to win is play Crouchie. Bump.
