Saint_clark Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 I agree. It's as if people are thinking that Puel is telling the players to deliberately play boring footnall. Well he DOES pick the style. I doubt he says "boring", but pass it around the defence? Play it safe before play it forward? Hold the line in midfield rather than make forward runs? You bet.
DT Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 I agree. It's as if people are thinking that Puel is telling the players to deliberately play boring footnall. They very clearly don't like playing for him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
adrian lord Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Our play and attitude smacks of the players knowing Puel is gone.
St Marco Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 I agree. It's as if people are thinking that Puel is telling the players to deliberately play boring footnall. Then don't pick the ones who are not doing what you tell them.... That's what a manger is supposed to do. If they are not following his instructions as you suggest then he would have lost influence on them.
OldNick Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 blame puel by all means but the board are the ones who have let the players go and not replace the goals lost. Go back to the preseason threads and see the posters on here warning about the lack of firepower.
Heisenberg Posted 17 May, 2017 Author Posted 17 May, 2017 Puel can't be blamed for that! can't blame the manager for that. people will still blame Puel for it Seems to be the soundtrack to our season. Dontblamepuel.com
Manuel Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Trouble is we're playing like he DID score and we're trying to just keep it tight, not taking many risks. Tight first half, make it happen in the second. We're gonna explode! And we need to get Austin on.
jasonb Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Trouble is we're playing like he DID score and we're trying to just keep it tight, not taking many risks. Its blindingly obvious but this is the key. We are so ponderous and unwilling to commit. So many times we get into a good position, take a look around and no one is on the half turn or on the move. Pass and f****** move!!!! Its almost like they are afraid of hard work. Yeah the move might break down and you might have to "do a bit" to recover your position but f*** me - if you don't buy a ticket you'll never win the lottery. Now, I'm not one of the usual suspects in the match threads so I hope I won't receive a kicking. I certainly am not suggesting the mangers head should roll. Gah... I dunno what I am saying tbh. Just exasperated after watching that. Praying for an improved performance in the second half. The words of Mick Channon spring to mind from the History video... "we went on the park and had a bloody good go. If we got beat, we got beat. But we went out and had a bloody go". I think I would settle for some of that right now.
St Marco Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Man Utd have only lost one league game for 20 odd matches. They are an incredibly tough team to beat. This isn't their main team. You're on fire tonight mate.
saint77 Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 They very clearly don't like playing for him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I can certainly see that tonight

saintadam Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Let's be honest, if Gabbiadini had scored that penalty, it would have been a different game. Puel can't be blamed for that! Lets be honest, it wasn't a penalty in the first place.
dello Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Utter tripe- first game in ages i have switched off TV in disgust after 35 minutes....
DT Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Lets see if this still works its magic We're Southampton nil, not Southampton nun Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pamplemousse Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 This isn't their main team. You're on fire tonight mate. They've been rotating their team throughout the season
St Marco Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 They've been rotating their team throughout the season So how many of their current 11 will be starting in their final?

This no one minds losing if weve given it a bloody good go, trouble is we rarely do
Saint_clark Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Bit more intent so far this half, better. We look more threatening when attacking through the middle of the pitch rather than out wide.
Pamplemousse Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 We've looked more lively at the start of this second half
Edmonton Saint Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Cedric been our been best player so far tonight
Heisenberg Posted 17 May, 2017 Author Posted 17 May, 2017 Just doubled up on my earlier bet, a saints win now worth £200 for me. We are pants but United are not taking any injury risks tonight and we will win this 2-0
trousers Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Nice free kick from ward prowse. Stephens needed to throw him self in at that though
Pamplemousse Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Romeu nearly scores, another good save from their keeper We're getting closer...!
trousers Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Romeu nearly scores, another good save from their keeper We're getting closer...! You know the script though....
del boy Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 You know the script though.... correct, we know where this is heading
Convict Colony Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 You know the script though.... The trolls just waiting for it
trousers Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 How has Stephens not got that on target from 5 yards out?!
Pamplemousse Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 This is much, much better. There's more purpose to our play.
DT Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Charlie Austin warming up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint_clark Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 JWP nearly scores! This is so boring... I think you mean this is infinitely better than the first half when we were boring.
DT Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Jay rod. Surely not even Puel is that stupid. He is. Christ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jasonb Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 I'm sucking the ball in here!!!! he bugger won't comply. Grrrrrrr
ART Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Where Puel is concerned even the Welsh Witch would be fighting a losing battle. He's an absolute clown Anyone notice how ****ed off Les Reed looked. Arms folded and looking bored to death. Hoping this is an indication of what is to happen next week
Pamplemousse Posted 17 May, 2017 Posted 17 May, 2017 Jay rod. Surely not even Puel is that stupid. He is. Christ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You mean the last striker to score for us?
