Final position and points prediction thread

44 points and 15th. One place higher than I predicted at the start of the season. Reasonable for a very difficult time of change.

How is it looking for your 15th prediction?

We arent going to go all season without a win over the big 6. So expecting 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss for Liverpool, United and Arsenal games.

 

+ wins over Boro and Stoke.

 

10 points, 51 points total and 8th.

Thanks for finding this. So it looks as if most thought we would finish between 10th and 14th before the season started, with some optimists saying 10th or 9th. Very few mentioned 8th....

Would also be interesting to compare that with people's predictions/expectations before the start of Pochettino's and Koeman's first full seasons at the helm.

I really can't get excited over whether we finish 8th or 12th to be honest.

Put into perspective 8th in the Premier League makes us the 8th best team in the country. And with the Premier League widely acknowledged as the best, most competitive in the whole world, that's pretty amazing stuff. Not to mention doing it with a club of our size in the same league as 6 huge financial hitters. (7 if you include the Everton wannabes.) Granted the football may have at times been dreary, and we haven't done as well as last season, but with a weaker first XI than last season, I think we've done well.

We might be able to sneak 8th by earning just 1 more point, but don't tell Claude... Imagine the scenes on here if we did that, especially if the draw was a 0-0!
